- Hello greetings and welcome
this week I'm jumping on a thread started by MARTINS VINYL about having multiple copies of the same record
here's the link to his video

Hey, great video! Had to comment on soft machine, my favorite album, I’ve collected many variations of it from all over the world.❤
Good to see another response to Martin’s thread - I enjoyed doing my response too - have subbed to 999🎉
Definitely a cat at the start 🐈⬛- I need to get one copy of some of those albums ❤
Hey Steve!!!! Thanks for the response, I think you are first to respond (and only 😅).
13th floor evelators 🔥🔥🔥
I have only the first press of ‘Then play on’ by Fleetwood Mac and I need to get one of those represses as ‘Oh Well’ is one of favs.
That Sharkti promo looked really interesting, not seen a promo record like that where the longs songs have been divided up.
I can see why you would keep different presses as the mix’s are quite different on most.
Thanks again for your video, you have made my day.
No surprise your having the 13th Floor Elevators.
Thought about mine; both duplicate pairs are Coil 😂
Never seen that alternate Deodato! 🤯
I have that Sly & the Family Stone Greatest hits album. Didn't know there was another press. Reminds me of that Flaming Lips album where 4 came in a pack to play at the same time.
I picked up Highway to Hell with a flames cover from Australia, tracks are the same. I have TNT & High Voltage from Australia as well.
I've got multiple copies of several Beatles albums. They keep reissuing the damn things. The only 'super deluxe ' boxed set I own is Revolver, which I shelled out $200 due to 2 tracks. The correct speed version of Rain and the loud mix of Tomorrow Never Knows.
My favorite track off that is 'Got to get you into my life' with fuzz guitar and no horns
Mr Tambourine man by the Byrds
I have the English CBS mono and stereo
Plus the Embassy cheapo
I have the American Columbia release
The Australian highlites
the Sundaze release
A foreign yellow vinyl release.
A German later issue
One of my copies of Deep Purple in rock is signed by drummer , Ian Paice.
UK copies of that have a long version of Speed King with an intro that was removed for the US release
I recently acquired multiple copies of various Herb Albert & TTB. I will happily give you the extra next time I'm in town. We will have to drive...cannot lug on a plane but maybe I could mail?
I could send you something so you can use the box to send me something back if you don't have record boxes
Brother Red and Prelude include all of the cuts on cd of that Brother Jack McDuff record.
It's always a dilemma as to what to get rid of because one side on one is better than the same side on the other.
Quincy Jones is also notorious for altering his albums and one's his produces on second or subsequent presses.
The printing on that 90's Pink Floyd record is a facsimile and not a good one. Many reissues fall victim to it and sometimes even use different artwork since they don't have the original negatives.
Thanks for the info
its a plastic owl i have one in my garden
