with this video, i really just wanted to show you guys how uncertain and random the college admissions process can be! i honestly expected to get into almost all my schools because i'd seen videos and had friends that did, but the college admissions process is almost never linear! and honestly, expecting to get into a specific school is really unrealistic, and getting into one good school is already a huge achievement :D

Congrats man! I got into Vanderbilt with Cornelius Scholarship and applied ED 2. I also got a Columbia Uni likely letter but missed out on that due to ED 2 for Vandy. Yale is a great school man so congrats!

Blud I'm looking at all these videos of Ivy acceptances and the only good college I got was UC Berkeley 💀Man I wish I applied to the Ivies, I could have gotten one maybe lol. The only other Ivy-tier school I applied to was Johns Hopkins (waitlist --> Reject).
UC Berkeley is still something to be proud of!!! Even though I was sad about getting rejected from MIT and Harvard since they were my top two schools, I definitely have had to keep it in perspective because there's people that would kill to go to a school like UGA that was low on my list. tldr; you should be proud regardless of where u get in though i guess thats easy for me to say 😭

Hi. Do you know if i can get into uc berkeley and princeton? I go to a school that does competency based narrative grades. I'm supposed to be graduating by June of next year. Also I have lots of extracurriculars that are very unique and not so common. Like I'm on the envirothon team, am on the student leadership team, I did a summer trauma program at new york Presbyterian, and also am doing a summer neuroscience research program at rockefeller university. Additionally, for my junior year I'm doing a college algebra course at my school in association with howard university, a college environmental science course in association with UCSD, and this summer I'm taking hunter college now classes.
I honestly can't tell you for sure because I'm not an admissions officer, but I think if your grades are comparable to having all A's at a school that does letter grades and if you took the most advanced curriculum available to you, you should have a shot. A significant portion of your application is also how you write your essays and approach your interview, so I'll release a video on that soon. I started working on my applications in May of my junior year and worked on them quite consistently (even through vacations 😭), so I think having that level of determination is really important.

all the schools i applied to were non-restritive early action schools! mit, uchicago, northeastern, gt, and uga
