Hi Connor first time leaving a comment. Followed Leeds since 1965. I live near Bournemouth and attend all home games. Would like to get to Elland Road more but you know the difficulty of getting tickets. Rothwell is an excellent signing , he's the type of midfielder who would have got us over the line last season. He drives forward and has an eye for goal . MOT Regards Paul

He's a very good underrated player, looks like he's been unlucky to have been born in a generation where there have been a few midfielders that have just been slightly better than him but he's going to be fantastic for us, watch 👌👍

Hardly an inspiring find and hopefully there will be players coming in who can make the difference and take us to promotion. Joe Rodon was inspiring and for him to come when he had premier league club offers means he has a an idea of Farkes plans! On the downside of Rothwell will he be ignored as the 3 loanees we had last season? On the plus side he has experience and a solid career plus he can score goals and can drive forward. So for me a solid find for one season

People moaning about it probably don't know who he is. Very sensible signing for us. Gives us plenty we don't have in the midfield.
Massive positive for me. We struggled to score goals from mid last season and we missed a steady experienced champ head, which we now have.

A good signing, you describe him perfectly, in that he transitions the ball so quickly, something Ampadu, Gruev and Kamara can't.
I don't support Leeds I follow all 24 Championship clubs but I think this is a very shrewd signing by Leeds. To get a player like Rothwell without having to spend a ton is smart. He's a top player at this level and the right type of character Leeds in their dressing room. Overall great signing in my opinion! I think people who complain simply don't watch enough football or believe the transfer market is like FM or FIFA.
This guys got better all through his career, hes good for 10 goals this year
He's the perfect player to negate the low blocking formations we faced last year, which left our wingers smothered, if he stays, Summerville will find Rothwell a joy to play with and should improve his output further.
I agree Rothwell is a proven Championship player who has a goal in him. A shrewd signing imo

It’s a brilliant signing Connor. He is just what we missed. I think he will get 10 goals and 15 assists if played a lot. 2 fullbacks now please and the Aberdeen striker would be nice after 43 goals
No striker will come in unless one of piroe or Bamford go.
For me I think this is a brilliant signing especially given the fact it’s on loan with an option to buy. I’d be more than comfortable to sell Glen Kamara to Rennes now for £10 million (£5 million profit on what we paid for him last summer) and then use the £5 million profit plus the Charlie Cresswell sale money (£3.8 million) to buy Tre Hume from Sunderland as our RB replacement.
Shrewd business in my opinion by the club with this signing as we’ve never worked the loan market as well as we should!

I don't get why everyone thinks he is bringing goals to the team. He has scored 4 times in 3 years....
We just have expectations with the new recruitment team and the Red Bull backing. If we do sell Summerville, Gnonto and Kamara then our squad is threadbare again. Rothwell is a good squad addition but we have a lot to do

I think the comments are coming from the fact that alot of fans won't know of him he's not a name that ppl will know. We are a championship club and to be honest most we dnt really know of as we only concentrate on our own. That's my feelings on why fans are not going crazy about it

Well as he’s on loan guess there’s no risk involved with the signing and given our meagre depth in that position last season and now then gives us an extra body on the bench that we didn’t have before. Would have rather have kept Gyabi and given in a chance from the bench.
Looks likely he's kamara replacement, like for like with 10m in the bank, not bad business.
Saints fans think he’s average, not exactly a signing to get the pulses racing but adds a bit of depth I guess. Although not that it matters seeing as Farke is scared of his sub bench

He s similar to aaaronson where as Rothwell does most things right dribbling shooting passing gets in the box n shoots. Where as aaaronson runs into players falls on his ass and looks around gormless at everyone

Being a Southampton fan, I would say this isn’t a particularly good signing. He was fine as a squad player to bring off the bench and keep the ball for you when you’re winning, but not a player to change a game or make a big impact during a season. He made four starts for us and didn’t play well in any of them, hence he spent his time with us on the bench.

The new guy Joe Bloggs is a mid table championship player. There I said it. Cue abuse from Farke fan boys. This isn’t good enough. Yes we are in the Championship but with the name and history of Leeds and the fact we reached the play off final last season we should be able to attract better players than this. It’s an underwhelming signing. Ok you can all pile on now with the abuse for me giving my honest opinion.
Have you seen him play? I don't think you have, he's just what is needed in the midfield, he cuts through defensive lines with ease and pace. No need to 'abuse' you, but, if you make a comment, expect a response?
