Wicked cool fly, a staple to have in every double nymph rig in ADK streams. Gave me some great ideas in my next stonefly ties. Its nice NY changes it regulations a couple years back allowing anglers to fish year round. I've been lucky to only have caught one winter brookie, since I started living up here year round. Hope you had some success out there, these winter can be long.

Thanks man! Ya I tend to have a stone imitation as one of my two flies almost all the time. I hooked a decent fish on this fly the day after I did the video but it caught me off guard and lost him. This reg changes were a game changer for me. I always went out of state in the winter to fish.

Nice fly. I keep a pad of post it notes when I tie. I put the resin on the pad and put the resin on the fly with a bodkin. It prevents getting to much on the fly.

That's a good call. I'd much rather apply with the bodkin that the bottle
