In the story of David, part of the punishment for David’s sins included the death of his son and the loss of his wives. The Lord never sanctioned rape. Further, He had not sanctioned all of David’s marriages. All this meant was that HaShem had had enough. His wives would leave and marry others. There is no hint of rape in the Hebrew nor in any English translation.

The David issue is a tricky one to defend.
Firstly, adultery and rape are unequivocally different. God set a public punishment to disgrace David for his sin. The punishment was to strip David of his wives where his wives would similarly be taken by other men which would be a disgrace to David the king. We must remember that David was a king unlike Muhammad a spiritual leader who professed to be a messenger of his Allah. Whereas David (although thoroughly repentant) was nonetheless punished by God for his sin, it appears that Mohammad’s sinful ways were endorsed by Allah.
