It help save time making jigs if you are doing large projects like this one. I keep all the jigs I build for the next time I build. Thanks for watching!

Good job Russ! I admire your creativity and skills. Looking forward to see how this worked out. I just commented to another farmer yesterday, I believe welding is the greatest skill you can have on the farm.

maybe two part epoxy would work if you can get it stable so it can set up . once it is se it should stay solid in place

Looks good! Would like to see how well they work when you get them in the ground with wire on them. I use the plastic step in posts for calves and like to have two strands, but as you said the sun destroys them. If you get a easy system for the insulator I would think you could add a few more places for multiple strands.

Hi Kris Thank you!! I have using few different prototypes for about six months. These are by far the best post I have ever used. Easy to stick, stand in wet water log soils, and easy to pull. They seem to do well in frozen soil. Only test I have not been able to do is extreme dry soils. It would be easy to add couple more strands of wire if need. Could just zip tie the insulator on then it could be adjustable or weld couple little tips on post at the height used most. Thanks for Watching!!!! Russ P.S. I think calves are harder to hold in a fence than Goats.

Hey Russ check out kiwitech tread in posts mate they have a plastic wedge style clip that would allow you to put the clip on then weld the ring or step tread on and bash the wedge into place to set your wire height. Only issue would be replacing broken clips.
    Top job mate well done!!!

Russ you have built some really cool jigs. I was wondering if there was a simpler design for the plastic part? It seems like a simpler design would be easier to make and would save time and money.

Thank You!!! Building tooling and jigs take time up front but in the long run saves a ton of time. I think there is a simpler way for the insulators. Just haven't figured it out yet or found a the right person that knows there plastics.
      Thanks for Watching Russ
