    I used to preform this trick years ago and I completely forgot about it until now! I was originally taught it a little bit differently though. My friend who taught me didn’t give the deck to the spectator to do behind the back because he found that people couldn’t always follow the instructions so he found a good way to do it in front of the spectator. You control the named card to the top just like the beginning of the trick and you ask the spectator to name a number, push off that many cards keeping the order and their card on top, when you get to the number kind of tilt the deck up and peel the top card off while you pull the rest off the cards away to turn them over, their card is on top of your left pile and put the other cards on top flipped over and then do the same double count move that you showed to reinforce the count. This way skips all the steps where you have to flip their card, it just goes to the point where you put it under the counted pile. I used to love this trick, thanks for reminding me!

    Man this is awesome thanks for sharing! I appreciate all your dedication to teaching magic. I wonder if this is the ACAAN that David Blaine performed on Michael Jordan on his new special. They didn’t show all of the trick due to editing. He Started out with the deck behind his back and David asking him what card he was thinking of.

    • @AMillionCardTricks
      @AMillionCardTricks  Před 4 lety +1

      Patrick DeHart Thanks, I don’t think this is the same method David Blaine used though. That method is purely psychological forcing without sleight of hand, but this is a way easier version that anybody can perform!
