This song was the first Tommy's song that I learned. Is a beautiful song, I dedicated that song to my grandmother before she passed away ..😢 Thanks for share Tim
Great choice, anyone who gets this songs dedicated to them can consider themselves very lucky! I'm sure it's a memory she will have held until the end!
Tim, great job as usual. Question…what’s your method for learning a song…do you stop on harder parts and perfect that before moving on, or just get the whole song together, then go back to the hard parts?
I combine both methods: I pick out difficult sections and practice those until I get them right, but I also try to play through sections that are easier often so that it doesn't only feel like "practice" but also like "playing".
Lmao. You know what my problem is? This would basically be a really easy one to learn. But I can't get the B bar chord like that. XD I always play it with a bar on the ringfinger. My fingers don't have enough power to hold that shape properly. Damn it :D
Hi Sebastian! Then I would definitely check the action on your guitar. The B chord can be challenging because there isn't much room for those three fingers next to each other, but if the problem is strength I suspect your guitar neck might be in need of reset.
For some reason I always struggle with barre chords that use 3 individual fingers on one fret exactly like the first chord. Any tips? The other ones I'm decent at
Not in this case Joe! I always use a small bar with the ring finger to avoid those three-fingered barres, but in this case there is no way around them I'm afraid.
@@TimVanRoy I will just get used to the position I don't know why I find them so hard compared to everything else but I guess I'll get better. Btw thanks for doing tutorials of tommy emmanuels songs as no one else does it as good. Thanks for the reply

Thank you. Could you do the purple haze TE version ?
I was wondering when that request would pop up the first time! It feels like something I can't ignore, right?

You are such a great guitar teacher. WILL YOU MARRY ME? lol
I will get back to you after discussing the proposal with my wife ;-) But I do appreciate the sentiment!
@@TimVanRoy I can cook really delicious Thai food and I have a really delicious 12 string acoustic I may let you play if you teach me some TE!
