This is just what I needed to see! I’ve been fiddling with the idea of notebooks with my three boys, but many examples are for very quiet, female students who are more likely to sit and do it. It is so reassuring to see how you incorporated notebooking with your boys and to hear that it was/ can be enjoyable for them. I LOVE the mini books made in Manila folders. I definitely want to try that this year. And the kinder/preschool book is a great idea for my littlest. ❤

I love seeing these notebooking pages. This makes me want to do some lap booking with my younger ones. Thanks so much for sharing!

Love these thank you for sharing. The year we did heart of Dakota in middle school my then fifth grader asked if he could just start filling in the notebooking pages the way he wanted and after establishing some rules i let him. It was so hard to be ok with that, but he remembers it happily!

I like the idea of notebooking, but what happens when your child is completely uninterested in coloring, drawing, and writing? I struggle with the “keeping” aspects of school because of this, and if we don’t record our work in some way, we forget everything we learned! 🫣

Oh this so hard- I had one that leaned this way, but also was competitive so he stepped and did it. How old?? I wonder if a form of lapbook would be better?? It could be more cut and glue.
