Hey there thanks for the great reviews. I just tried on that Optik 2 blocker at the store. The thumb guard wouldn't let the stick slide out for a poke check. Is that what you have seen? Does that thumb guard loosen up?
So, I haven't noticed the thumb ever getting in the way, but I couldn't slide the Optik 2 blocker at all with sticks with grip. I always remove the paddle grip on my sticks since I have that issue with most blockers. But I never saw the thumb part ever getting in the way
I would try other gloves on as well and not just the Optik to see if it happens with other gloves. When companies started using jenpro instead of nylon bindings it worked fine with foam core sticks, but once you add the grip on composites to the mix everything just started sticking! Worst case is you have to sand down the grip. I have done it on a bunch of my sticks now and it works really well with 0 ill affects so far. czcams.com/video/0wLf2NAFAkM/video.html

Thanks that is very helpful, I tried to find a stick at the store without grip, but they all seem to have it. Going to go back with my stick.

Yes I tried a couple of other blockers and it wasn't as bad but they did stick. Thanks for the link, I was wondering how to get rid of that grip.

It can be used both ways and I was asked to test it that way when I reviewed it. So I've just always kept this one reversed.
