I'm glad to hear that the oscillator instability grew on you, lol. It's funny, it's been a "feature" I've been looking for in a relatively inexpensive analogue synth, so thanks for reviewing it, it's on my radar now!
Great video. Your music is a million miles from anything I do but loved your creativity. Back in the day I came in at the end of one knob per function (a Siel Opera 6) and into multi function controls. I remember trying to programme a JX3P without a programmer. As an older musician getting back into analogue (it was all we had when I started!) I think the Nymphes will be worth the deep dive.

The Nymphes is very cool in the end, even tho the menu interface is a bit of a let down in my point of view, it does sound great and is very cool when used with a sequencer that can send CC.
how noisy is the usb power? I am trying to decide between this and the minifreak... I know they are not really similar, but I want a very good sounding polysynth.... that my only criteria!
@@Stazma I asked because that usb power issue is something I have read a few times but it probably just comes down to making sure to use high quality usb connections and separate power.... your videos sounds great, I didn't hear any noise :)
@@xisotopex I have the Nymphes. You will get noise if you plug in the usb directly to the computer. If you use an individual power source the synth sounds fine.
There's only a reverb as audio FX on this synth, it's a special one tho so it worth trying even tho it's a bit of a mess to access it's settings with the menu.

I have noticed any noise to be honest, most of those you can hear in the video are more coming from the DC-2w.

Does it have user programmable chord memory?
Yes indeed, seven chords per preset (and you can modulate the chord selection wich is fun!)
Nymphes sounds incredible. A poly only rivaled by prophet5 reissue. Better than Trigon6 and OBX8.
Have you played a Trigon-6 or OB-X8? You can't really judge a synth off CZcams demos when people just play through the presets
@@qlyde Trigon6, OBX8, Moog One all sound nasal, dull, and thin. Grossly over priced. Go ahead and buy them if it makes you feel good.
