      Hi, I've just purchased a side mount number plate bracket from AK Racing (they should probably start giving you commission lol). I was wondering how you mounted yours? I didn't want to just use self tappers. any advice?

    Great vid Jackson.
    Another good one and the 1st mod I did is the weather shields. Also I can't believe I hadn't noticed till now your taillights, Very rarely seen in aus but damn so sexy with the clear indicator.

    • @JacksonStrain
      @JacksonStrain  Před 4 lety +1

      Thanks David, yeah i considered adding those but since i have the OEM weathershields which are around $180 so i thought I'd leave them for a future video where i do mods under $500.
      Yeah i love the tail lights and i like the OEM ones but the orange indicator looks a bit off imo so these ones were a nice touch.

    Mate I love you’re video’s there very informative, you’re featured cinematic is one of a kind, so special, very detailed and above all, you’re views are based upon your passion for evo’s, however I have a question for you, base on your experience, I’m contemplating and trying to purchase some gauges for my Mr, I haven’t made a decision between the AEM Gauge or the Glow shift gauge, which of the two I should purchase, I would love to hear your opinion, I await your response, keep up your good work.

    Great video Jackson really learned a lot but I was interested in one mod that you did that you didn't mention obviously most likely it wasn't under $100 but it's the intake hole on your front bumper to the inside of the motor where did you get that from bumper?

    I love the functional set up with the wheels and tyres. Could you please tell me the dimensions so I can also apply it to my Lancer? It's looks perfect for a performance application. Also, I'm just around the corner from AKRacing. Thinking of spending a small fortune there to set up my car. You guys take the same approach to modifications that I would like to do. Any helpful knowledge would go a long way to quell my confusion on what to do and where to start. I don't have an evo or ralliart. Just a VRX. I don't want a widebody or anything, just a functional wheel set up that's flush. Currently my wheels are a stock 18×7.5. When I was at AK I was told 18×8/8.5 with a +35/38 offset will suffice. After a 2nd and 3rd and 53rd opinion so I don't fluk it up. Cheers.

    • @JacksonStrain
      @JacksonStrain  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey Scott so my wheels are 18x9.5+22 with a 265X35X18 tyre but those are Evo specs and only fit well with the wider evo guards. So on a RALLIART or VRX body the specs that AK suggested which is around the factory Evo X wheel size is perfect fitment and will sit pretty flush with your guards.
      The AK guys will definitely point you in the right direction for mods and specs on your car and I spend a lot of money there too haha

    not bad but dont paint the coolant and power steering tank so you can't see the fluid inside

    • @JacksonStrain
      @JacksonStrain  Před 4 lety

      The power steering bottle I have a strip where I can see the fluid and the coolant doesn't really matter as you can take the lid off and see where the fluid is easily, plus most people delete the coolant tank when they go to a driven fab catch can

    • @JacksonStrain
      @JacksonStrain  Před 3 lety

      Yes as long as it's parallel with the axles.
      But as long as it's not too angled it's usually fine and it's rare that anyone gets fined for it
