    Thank you sooooo much! I had an elektron sampler that had allowed you to set the quantize amount on recording midi and it was a total gamechanger for me. Being able to set the amount of auto quantize in Ableton is an absolute godsend - thank you so much! It's working great so far!

    Hello ! Thanks for this device, it's great !
    I have an issue with auto-quantize on a MIDI track, won't work and i think i tried everything. On an Audio Track it works very well for me though.
    Is there a special manipulation to do or anything else?
    Thank you again.

      HeyHey - you can try the following things: Please click on "Refresh" or delete and insert a new device on the track. The "Auto-Quantizsation" will only be triggered for clips which are being 'freshly' recorded and re-triggered. Cheers Tobi

    HI, Just got this amazing too but have question about the audio part on it, when Im in Session mode and record an audio sequence of loops in the same track , lets say 1 2 n 3 slots, one after the other it only quantize/warp the last one and the first 2 or so are not warp/quantize... why is this? Im I missing something? Need to figure this out because if not this amazing too is not useful for my live looping set.... really appreciate your help

      Hey Camilo - as explained in the instructions a clip needs to be retriggered to apply the quantisation command - one solution for multiple clips would be to use the „Quantize All“ tool so this not automatic but would solve having all clips quantized without retrigger them each individually after recording. I hope that helps. Cheers Tobi

    Great device you wizard! I just read the fine print on your gumroad and it says Paypal charges quite a fee. Shit I should have erad that ages ago Ive bought so many of your products via paypal! Credit card next time so you get the most out of your hard work. See ya soon in Cape Town bro.

    Question: What if i usually don't want to quantize audio/midi, but only at a certain time? I guess midi-mapping the device ON/OFF button would do the job then? But: If the device was off during recording, and i want to retroactively quantize the already recorded clip, can it be used then too - with the refresh button maybe?

    Hey there, just purchased this yesterday. Are there any known bugs currently? Because I've placed the Auto Audio Quantize on an audio track, tried to record in Session View, and it's not auto-quantizing even after hitting refresh on the device. Thanks!

      Hey - sorry that you are having issues but it should work as expected. Please make sure to select the right device e.g. the Audio version for audio tracks plus using the "On this track" if it should do it for the whole track. Feel free to shoot me a short vid as well and shoot this over, this usually helps to trouble shoot best. -> blog.abletondrummer.com/contact/

    This is great however for my style of looping I jam with other people so I need to be able for the first recorded loop to set the tempo like how we can do with stock looper. This is the one reason I couldn’t get a better result than any hardware looper or now loopy pro is the best on iPad

    • @abletondrummer
      @abletondrummer  Před 9 měsíci

      yep - I haven't cracked that nut (yet) - in the meantime you can use a combination of the two. All explained here: czcams.com/video/TdbcGsN3iiw/video.html

    How does this device do with melodic instruments like guitar? Is it only for percussion?

    • @abletondrummer
      @abletondrummer  Před rokem

      Hey - Ableton Live's quantisation of audio is actually the "WARP" technique. So it is very similar and will scan for transients and move those if within a certain time and move those. It is hard to judge generally what will work and not and I would suggest to use it mainly for rhythmical patterns played with live instruments. The beauty here is that you can select the 'correction' to be applied by percentage, so this could be applied less e.g. if playing a melody. I hope that gives you more of an idea.

    you reckon this would compensate for latency in a live situation?

    • @abletondrummer
      @abletondrummer  Před rokem +1

      Well it depends. Ideally latency should be dealt with different but as it will WARP everything in place you will correct 'latency' or 'pull' everything on the grid 'to the left'. If there's too much latency you might get some 'artefact' sounds at the end/on re-loop as the audio after your last warp marker might be stretched to long or there might be a tiny, short break in sound as everything is pulled to the left on the grid. It really depends on the use case. It will definitely sound more tight and depending on what kind of instrument, levels and rhythm you are recording you will get a feel for how 'strong' /how much percentage of quantisation you want to apply.

    What about the Swing, can you set it as well?

    • @abletondrummer
      @abletondrummer  Před 5 měsíci

      Hey - there is no swing option for quantisation and warp available in Ableton Live - but you can set things to higher values and/or triplets

    • @abletondrummer
      @abletondrummer  Před rokem +4

      Haha - it looks like you haven't understood what's being offered here. -->1st Ableton's native "Record Quantization" doesn't work for Audio -->2nd It 'only' has one global setting and you can't set individual settings for tracks -->3rd you can't apply the % of quantisation .... soooo IF someone's wants those (and more functions) this is one option.
