Bryce as Coraline is this year's best costume LOL, the blue hair looks soooo flawless on him. I never imagined seeing Rob as Daemon Targaryen, platinum hair is totally his thing. Zuff is as cute as ever.

Hocus Pocus is the reason why I love Bette Midler so much. The way she plays Winifred Sanderson is hilarious. One of my favorite lines is: "Oh, look. Another glorious morning.....makes me SICK!!" 😂🤣
Also, the kid who played Thackary Binx went on to play Special Agent Timothy McGee on the original NCIS.

You boys need to know; that Bette Midler is a singer/comic who's stage performances was a mixture of music and comedy. Her first movie was The Rose; where she played a character based on Janis Joplin. Many of the movies she is in either have theme songs she sings, or songs she sings during the movie, like this one. it's what she's know for.
Seriously. Her performance is ICONIC. That song fuckin' slaps. The last note she sings was amazing. This movie is a mandatory watch every year. ❤

I’ve never felt so old as watching 3 adult men watch Hocus Pocus for the first time… I was 5 when this movie came
And I was 13. So… oof. But I sure love it, and loved seeing them see it. Hooray for passing down traditions.

Allison was always my favorite character because she was not scared of the witches a single but and always ran in ready to fight😂😂

I'm from the Salem area and I got to see some of the filming when I was a kid. All the nighttime graveyard scenes (and where Max/Allison talk) were filmed in the Salem Common.The school/dance was my mom's elementary school. Allison's house is literally a few houses down from the Salem Witch Museum. Such fun memories.
Fun Fact: the guy in the Devil costume was Garry Marshall, director of The Princess Diaries.
And his wife in the film was played by his sister, Penny Marshall. RIP to both of them.

It's just a little Hocus Pocus! LOL when adults watch this for the first time it's interesting to see what they think of it because so many of us grew up watching this so it's a little silly but still so fun.

This is my favorite Halloween movie that's not horror. I mean, I guess it could be considered an introduction to horror for kids but I rented this from blockbuster when I was a kid. My dad thought it was going to be a scary movie then he seen the Disney intro lol

Right after they put the witches in the Kiln, they were dancing around a fountain. Its the FRIENDS fountain from the intro!
You all are literally the only reactors I've seen that recognize the kiln. Every other reactor I've watched is always perplexed; they start yelling and asking why a high school has a walk in oven.

If you want another HALLOWEEN film (not just a horror movie), I HIGHLY RECOMMEND "Trick 'R Treat" (2007)! That & Hocus Pocus are my 2 MUST-SEE films every Halloween!
I’ve always been interested in watching that movie! Is it really gory? That’s the only thing holding me back from watching it. I’m fine with Halloween, that kind of violence is okay but I can’t do gory like Friday the 13th
@@breacalico2439 No, it's actually pretty light on the gore. Its rated-R but it's not gory like a slasher movie. Its much more about atmosphere and being creepy and spooky, but mostly it's just fun and entertaining! It's THE PERFECT HALLOWEEN FILM! I seriously cannot recommend it enough!
I wish reaction channels would wake up to this movie. It's VERY similar to Hocus Pocus in that both flopped in theaters for similar reasons (poor marketing and terrible release dates) and then both became huge cult classics. Hocus Pocus was released in July and Trick 'R Treat was released in December.

You are correct. I heard that it was originally supposed to be a tv movie, but they decided to do it as a theatrical release pretty early on. Technically, DCOMs did not begin until a few years later.

This movie just takes me back. I was 9 and so mesmerized. The main character did a small show called eerie Indiana. Back then for a kid, that was like x files. Also Thora Birch plays the little sister. I love her in homeless to harvard and American beauty. And if you haven’t already , check out Bette midlers beaches. A tear jerker and one of my favorites. And it’s so fun to see Sarah Jessica Parker step out of her sex and the city role to play the blonde witch. lol. And we don’t forget about Kathy najimy the third sister. She’s the long running voice of Peggy hill on the show king of the hill. A great show back in the day!
