Nice & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。This song reminds me, an aged Japanese, of good old songs to which I listened many years ago at home sitting in front of a TV. BABYMETAL, however, gave a new power to this type of song. That is one of the magics they have. In 10 BABYMETAL BUDOKAN concerts held this year, I witnessed this song beautifully performed live twice on Feb. 16 & 17. When the intro started, my heartbeat went faster.

Due to the COVID situation, enthusiastic fans in foreign countries or even many Japanese fans not living in Tokyo area could not come to Budokan. Since I would not have got as many as 9 tickets without such woeful condition, I am reluctant to say I was lucky. (Nonetheless, I tried to see all of 10 shows but not qualified to ticket for Day-6 that was only one concert held on week-end, Saturday Feb.20). I really hope BM to restart their world tour soon to have reunions with fans aboard.

I was surprised at 3 girls singing in my native language and dancing in front of the sea of people. Any name of the girls was unfamiliar to me but they were excellent performers. (I came to know thereafter they used to be so-called “idols”). I have been a Jazz and Funk fan for 45 years and playing trumpet and flugelhorn in an amateur band as a hobby. Honestly, bands with girls had not existed in my music life until the day of destiny. Now I am obsessed, in good way, with BABYMETAL believing in Moa's statement "the latest is the best" that encourages newbies like me. (Of course, I know "BM's history is the best, too" )
This was a Japan exclusive track on their second album, the international edition had 'From Dusk Till Dawn' instead. 'Syncopation' has still been played live outside of Japan only one time - that was in Brixton, London in 2019 and I was lucky enough to be there to see it. None of us in the audience could believe our ears when the heartbeat started. Su has said she couldn't believe everybody seemed to know the song either since it has never been released outside of Japan.
In metal their are 3 types of fan/audience participations: - wall of death - which is split the crowd and run into each other, usually the song has a 'start running' moment in the song. Maybe most likely to get yourself a bloody nose. - moshpit, this is chaos of people running into each other, maybe less likely to get that bloody nose. But usually people participate longer. So in that sense higher chance. Babymetal has the "mosh'sh pit." which is the "kind of moshpit". Babymetal shows have some of the least dangerous pits in metal. Be aware: when people fall others will pick you up, at almost any metal show. It's part of the ettiquete. - circlepit, this is kind of like a moshpit, but more organized and people are running more in a circle, in the same direction. Very common at Babymetal shows. It's save.

I suggest 'Night Night Burn' which has a wonderful Latino feel to it. The band is the Kami Band West as opposed to the original. I think they're mostly American musicians? I'm lucky to have seen both in London. The first concert was the one and only time they played Syncopation outside of Japan so I was very lucky. Take care of yourselves

Although the band members are masked lately and they are not officially listed, they are not anonymous. So the fans managed to find out who was who. And the same happens to the "Avenger" position (the third girl). Fortunately, keeping artists this level in the shade is pretty difficult.

Great reaction! Syncopation is easily in my top three of all their songs. The pace is perfect, the guitar work (especially the two short solos) are fantastic, the song is catchy and melodic, and I love the suspense of that moment at 5:18 (of your video). I was lucky and incredibly happy to have been there when it was played outside Japan for the first (and I think still only) time. The intro leading up to it was such a great buildup of anticipation. I don't remember whether you have watched official video of "Road of Resistance" already. Since you mentioned the circle pits and relentless drumming, you should definitely check it out!
Yup...Tales of the Destinies should be put on your "to do" list! Only performed live once....so either that or the studio version are well worth it, if you like Prog Metal at all.

In the song they go to see him play then tell everyone how good he is and then "everybody want's to go". Always reminds me of Babymetal now. As many said, this is one of the most anime vibe song from Babymetal along with _Karate,_ (don't know if watch anime series thou, just saying) as i like to said myself: Karate could be the opening and Syncopation could be the ending song. This song was an exclusive track for japanese album version only for the 2nd album, while in the west or internationally _From Dusk Till Dawn_ was the track, a beautiful song and one of my top favorite, so try it if you can someday. They performed this song only in Japan, like i said this was released only there, so japanese fans are very fortunate and they love this song, that's why you'll see massive crowd interaction there and cool circle pit and mosh'sh pit, concerts like Legend M (MoaMetal 20th birthday) and Legend Metal Galaxy Day 2 got this song in it. btw yesterday was MoaMetal birthday, we don't know about any other celebration besides our angel of love ❤️ I don't know about the band you said but in this case song is pretty much about a faint first love. Thank you, Randy. Just for edification purposes, most reactors do the interruptions for copyright purposes. Playing the whole song/video through increases the chances of having the reaction blocked. Sadly they can't bring those huge sets with them on tour, so the really big shows are almost always in Japan. They use whatever they've got in other countries, but most likely it's a pretty plain stage with a screen behind it, and some lights, but nothing like the huge shows they do back home, where they have much more control over the venues.
And this isn't even their fastest track! If you really want to hear the drummer going nuts, there Is "Distortion" live at download 2018, "Sis Anger" or "Road of Resistance" live in Japan 😁

Now that's some high energy there :-) Another, completely different, girl band suggestion for you: First Aid Kit. A sister duo that mostly sing folk and harmonization, but have also covered Black Sabbath among others. Song suggestions could be e.g. Nothing Has to be True, My Silver Lining or In the Hearts of Men. Or... start with a cover of a song you already know, like Chiquitita or America.
I don’t know how much you get into Jpop but you should check out the band Mucc song Justice. Or other syncopated bands like Vola from Denmark song straight lines.

This song was an exclusive track for japanese album version only for the 2nd album, while in the west or internationally _From Dusk Till Dawn_ was the track, a beautiful song and one of my top favorite, so try it if you can someday.
They performed this song only in Japan, like i said this was released only there, so japanese fans are very fortunate and they love this song, that's why you'll see massive crowd interaction there and cool circle pit and mosh'sh pit, concerts like Legend M (MoaMetal 20th birthday) and Legend Metal Galaxy Day 2 got this song in it.
btw yesterday was MoaMetal birthday, we don't know about any other celebration besides our angel of love ❤️

Thank you, Randy. Just for edification purposes, most reactors do the interruptions for copyright purposes. Playing the whole song/video through increases the chances of having the reaction blocked.
It is still a concern for us, but we feel like you do, that it is difficult to enjoy and experience the song, with interruptions. So we prefer to take our chances.

Sadly they can't bring those huge sets with them on tour, so the really big shows are almost always in Japan. They use whatever they've got in other countries, but most likely it's a pretty plain stage with a screen behind it, and some lights, but nothing like the huge shows they do back home, where they have much more control over the venues.

Now that's some high energy there :-) Another, completely different, girl band suggestion for you: First Aid Kit. A sister duo that mostly sing folk and harmonization, but have also covered Black Sabbath among others. Song suggestions could be e.g. Nothing Has to be True, My Silver Lining or In the Hearts of Men. Or... start with a cover of a song you already know, like Chiquitita or America.
I don’t know how much you get into Jpop but you should check out the band Mucc song Justice. Or other syncopated bands like Vola from Denmark song straight lines.

Just like the intro song of many anime series these days. Not bad at all. I just miss the breeding they were doing between genres on their early albums. That's what got my attention first.
