First sentence from Athers had to mention ‘conditions’. He doesn’t seem to like the 250+ scores of the IPL as well. Essentially seaming conditions is the only form of cricket that is truly ‘fair’. You had a left arm spinner on the bench that could have made a difference so could’ve Ben Duckett. Poor selection and totally outclassed imo.

People dont realise that's how english response is to defeat . Over ages Indians have been brought up thinking oneself as defeated race thanks to our education which thought we were ruled by others for centuries. So when we loose we blame on ourselves or try to associate on us being loosers its psychological people might not agree to it.
Most if not all English come with a different upbringing and when they loose they try to reason and think oh may be this might be a most likely reason or else we have been winning for ages now and these feelings go strong when pitted against what they presume inferior.

I’m an England fan full stop but Jos butler either needs to give up the gloves or the captaincy but I don’t think he will because he is stubborn. Also the shirt and ties need to relive Mathew Mott and offer it to Morgan.

The comments about pitch being spin friendly seems more like the frustration expressed as an English fan, I don't think it is something even the English team would have discussed or thought of. If the English team reflects on their performance they actually did not perform very well against all the better bowling attacks, that would be what I will take away as a team for improvement. These comments rather portray the English team as flat track bullies which I think they will never like.
