    If you've ever seen someone bend their guitar to get a subtle vibrato, it can sound nice. But if you're too tough on it, you can risk breaking your guitar... or at least put it out of tune. Guitar shakes can be very fun though, and accomplish a similar goal.

    What do you think? Do you bend the neck?

      I have to admit you got me concerned a little. I don't think a bolt-on is going to fall apart though.

      @@patricktracy1966 I agree, a bolt on is pretty much safe.

    I did this on my Tele, I could literally see the neck and strings moving that it actually scared the shit out of me😂

    doing that pushing thing on a set neck gives me anxiety, tried it once, remembered what replacing a neck would be like, and stopped right after that

    Kind of reminds me of bending the neck of a guitar to get a dreamy distortion sound. Great audio 👍

    saw a rig rundown of slash and his tech said he one time bended his les paul neck and his headstock snapped and hit him in the face, that's the main reason i never bend the neck on my les paul,
    i do it sometimes on my g&l maple necked guitar

    Indeed mohagony isn't enough hard for neck, unfortunately many Gibson guitars have the same problem, maple neck (or better than it, 3 piece maple neck) is the best design for neck. I don't think maple neck can change the sound of electric guitar dramatically.

    I always reach for my 400 dollar guitar over my expensive ones for this reason. I bend the neck hard, I nick the finish sometimes with my chunky 8mm pick when digging in. not a care in the world just amazing sound, and if I do break it one day I think I have got my moneys worth.

    interesting story lol. luckily my guitars have vibrato arms, so I don't even get tempted to do this

    it defies logic seeing people doing this. Apart form the fact it does not even sound good as you dont have control over it, even small shakes like that compromise the joints. It s crazy people doing this.

      Yeah, you really have to be careful. Bolt on necks are one thing, but set necks? With glue?? wouldn't risk it!

      I've noticed Gibsons bend like crazy, probably just because of the angled headstock

    • @pipespeeps5349
      @pipespeeps5349 Před 5 měsíci

      i mean the sg is different cause the neck meets the body joint at like the 20th fret or whatever, around there

    A brand new Gibson falls apart because of a neck bend? Sounds like a real cheap guitar. Cheap quality (they have the cost shaved down to the cent with each drop of glue accounted for), not price of course. Liked anyway.

      @DanMmusic  Před 2 lety

      Ridiculous right? I think in the last few years Gibson has been doing a little better. But that was definitely an eye opener haha
