At 14:30 I should have used catch onto Harpy for the Quick Attack, sets up lethal very nicely. Really hyped about catch finally reaching it's true potential as a card, the whole weaponmaster archetype seems to have to fleshed our reaaaal nice!

Me too! If you had any changes to Jax to make, would you? Or do you think he finally finds a place? I still think he seems to be very weak vs removal, maybe they can put the "gain +X/+X, where X is the number of equipped (not attacking, back row included) allies" on his Weapon?
There is a lot of weapon removal now. Him keeping his buffs is cool for this reason, but it makes him weak to minitee, which just invalidates him entirely as a champ. Could be a couple interesting changes to make there

LORE CRASH COURSE: Shauna Vayne was a demacian girl from a rich family who saw her parents get Evelynn'ed as a teen. Spared by the demon (not by kindness, mostly cause Eve wanted to create optimal suffering), Vayne booked it to the Freljord to find Icebornes to teach her about fighting evil creatures as she'd heard they fought the Ice Witch (Lissandra).
There she found Frey, a woman who after some hesitation took the young girl under her wing. During Vayne's training, two things happened: the two started sharing a strong bond, and Vayne found that killing evil creatures awakened in her an intense pleasure and satsfaction, as she took her vengeance upon them.
One day, a hunt for Evelynn cultists went wrong and Frey had to reveal herself as a shaman in order to save what had become almost like an adoptive daughter to her, turning into an enormous wolf. As she tries to explain to Vayne, the huntress put an arrow through her heart without a word or any regret, before forgetting her immediatly and starting to think about her exciting next hunt.
Some time later, Viego said "It's Viegin' time" and Vieged all over Runeterra. The Sentinels of Light went to the newly ruined Demacia and found Vayne by accident. The encounter is shady on account of the ruination having at least 3 storylines all recounting the encounter in a different way, but the bottom line is that in order to get better gear (and also protect the innocent if necessary), Vayne joined the Sentinels and is still a member today.

The Sentinels should'a killed Vayne if they were true to their purpose (with only desperate Lucian, back from the dead commander Senna, and rogue Akshan as original members, I doubt their original purpose stays and is now evolving)
Vayne's already the worst demone of Eve's pack. She finds pleasure in killing "evil creatures" - her mentor who sacrificed herself for her included in so called evil creatures. And she does it openly and is supported by the ignorant masses - unlike other demons who get hunted or avoided by the powers that be.
She's a personification of Mageseekers to the extreme.
She didn't get turned during the ruination cuz she has no darker side, she was already ruined in her own way.
Tons of ruined and the undead coarsed the world during The Ruination, and with plenty of targets around to satisfy her urges she need not bother to kill Senna given the chance - but now? Who knows.
As an add on, while the sentinel story hinted that vayne might have mellowed out and no longer wants to kill every magical being it hasn't yet been fully confirmed. we at least know that she is now fine using magic weapons( the sentinel crossbow in her card art) but if she has morally changed is still up in the air(she hasn't gotten a new story since then).

Always felt like it was weird that there was never any jax/demacia decks, seems like the obvious pairing for him. I’m glad we’ve got incentive to test it out now
Distinctively I remember when I first started playing LoR, when it was stil in baby crawl phase.
Last month I came back to play Path of the Champions, got the full Domination pass and now I watch Godwai everyday and can't get more excited to try out this deck and finally play PvP with my firends
I saw alot of comments that were saying they were disappointed they didnt get a reaction video but I think its even cooler to drop gameplay of the champ instead of a reaction
I'm interested in seeing a 3-2-1 split with Vayne(3)-Kayn(2)-Jarvan(1) or something along those lines. Getting tumble with Rhaast sound fun.

I think the best case Vayne level up is using a Tumble (likely 1 mana at this point) maybe turn 5-6 or so? To trigger a Vayne lvl up right away, and replenish another 0 cost tumble into your hand, rather than reducing a previously held onto card.
I believe that's the most effective/efficient way to use a "Vayne lvl up" as a win con? Especially with Golden Aegis or relentless pursuit, it would be quite viable to get 4-5 attacks off, 2 of them with one unit, in one single turn, even on the opponent's attack opportunity.
Of course the second option and the impact of the first both rely on scout units.
This line of play wouldnt work as you describe it because Vayne's text reads "when im Summoned or Round Start". playing the tumble to trigger level up wouldnt create another tumble until the next round. leveling her up doesnt even immediately reduce a tumble already in hand.
@@serendiggiity6506 you are right. I'm newer to the game, and I assumed (there are some TCGs that work like this) that "flipping" a card counts as an entirely new character entering, activating a summon effect. Without that being the case...

I expected Vayne to be thematically closer to league's Vayne, a low level unimpressive base form with a demanding level up requirement, that turns into a weapon of mass distruction once she levels up.
kinda wish she had something like "silence the unit blocking me" or something instead of braindead free attacks tbh kinda disappointed

Most champs are a failure thematically to League so this isn't unexpected.
I didn't mean it in a bad way, I was just surprised she turned out to be the exact opposite, a strong base form and a not extremely impactful level up

Vayne is their worst translation of a LoL champ to a LoR card. Tumble has nothing to do with the card (its used to dodge damage and reposition). She's one of the best late game hyper carries. And she is an ADC
Nothing in her card communicates this. No quick attack. Tumble does nothing to prevent damage. And she isn't a hyper carry style card (weak until leveled).
Story wise she is a huntress going after specific targets. Her card again has no kind of targeted or hunted theme.
It feels like they made a card then slapped vayne's artwork on it. They didn't even pick her base artwork. They accidently used an alt skin. Made sense for udyr since he was mid rework but vayne has a staple look.
I disagree:
Tumble is a big part of her gameplay. Kiting and sneaking more attacks is her deal. So much so her ultimate makes it better.
Having quick attack on every ADC champion in lor isn't inspired or interesting.
Yes, this is different from league but I think it's good. It gives needed support to the archetype. In my opinion she isn’t weak until levelled because Jax does that in equipment.
Champions aren't one to one in LoR, you can't have all aspects of the champion to be perfectly translated to a card. I'm not saying that she's a good translation (or an interesting card), but there are reasons why not all passives, skills and gameplay are in LoR.
"They accidently used an alt skin" sentinel Vayne is cannon in the present of the normal timeline after the viego ruination. it makes sense that LoR, a game that greatly expands the lore of runeterra, releases current Vayne and not pre ruination Vayne

Its a shame that janky shit like this is put into the game but with every new set becomes strictly something to play against AI because the player decks are just obnoxious. Why dick around reproducting Tumble when you can just spam it on a Rumble and melt the nexus in two turns?

I have seen that in this video you also have the primsatic card bug. Primsatic cards dont have interactions with other primsatic cards for like Half a year. I have been writing a ticket to riot every two months and they still havent fixed it. It is especially annoying when you play tahm kench because he doesnt have An interaction while playing acquired taste

my god is that the vayne league voice actress, she sounds incredible good
I know that you are eager to test new cards and bring people fresh decks (btw I find this more interesting that another reaction videos, I feel this genre is oversaturated now with Snnuy and Grapplr recording video for every six new cards). But the quality of opponents on the test server is really lacking and the one sided games are not enjoyable (vide the match vs Karma/Seraphine player). It is like watching you clubbing young seals on the ice. Maybe you could schedule some proper sparring partners to record your videos on the test server?
