You should do some reactions to certain Nostalgia Critic videos - like for the Mortal Kombat movies.
I grew up loving these movies, so even though it could have been better and Johnny didn’t have to die, I still like it. Plus, it’s what encouraged me to watch the animated series and Mortal Kombat: Conquest (the prequel series when Kung Lao was alive.(Though the ending to THAT didn’t make much sense)) at the time.
Trials:
1. Courage, self-esteem, and focus
2. Temptation
3. (Even though it was not made clear enough, the third test IS revealed.) Right before he dies, Raiden reveals that the final test is a test of Liu Kang's faith in Kitana and courage to face Shao Kahn, both of which he has conquered.

Eric imitating how almost everyone moves was brilliant. He just loves all the worst shit and it’s the best. Rick laughing the whole time was great. Calvin reminded me of Aaron when he watched The Room. Literally questioning everything. Aaron just purely enjoyed this. I love these guys lol.

Jesus, Calvin looks more traumatized than any one of them did while watching The Room. 🤣 I love it, everyone else laughing and then there's Calvin, just *staring* at the horror that is this movie.
It was a matter of time. Eric suffered with DB Evolution, Aaron with The Room and Shane with the Star Wars Holiday Special. I don't know if Rick was also traumatized like the others.

This movie is great just because as kids we watched it as an action movie but as adults we can appreciate it for the comedy it is
only some parts are funny. I find watching the whole thing boring because the movie drags when Liu Kang leaves the group.
Too many cuts in the fighting making it lame.

I just love that the way in which Liu Kang evades the rocket from Smoke is so ridiculous Calvin can't help but become immediately disgusted and upset

The first 40 seconds of this video are my favorite intro that BW has ever done: Eric handling voiceover, Calvin doing the backing, and Aaron just trying to power through LOLOLOLOL

the fact this reaction as well as the The Room reaction are probably my favorite videos from Blind Wave despite having been through several show journeys with them over the years really says something about me
This one, Dragonball Evolution, and the Star Wars Holiday Special purely because of how destroyed Shane was by the end and the epic Kool Aid joke from him are my top 3 reaction videos now from Blind Wave.

I visited the VFX studio that worked on this. They had props from the movie all over the place. I guess they were really proud of their work.
Re-watching this in 2022 and i feel like it gets better and better with Eric's dramatic reenactments. He should redo the MK movies with just him as every character.

Air god/Father of Shao Khan is SUPPOSED to be Shinnok. But he doesn't even look like the one from the games, so I call him Joe.
Liu Kang kicked Baraka so hard, he became Rain.
It's Ray Park doing the ridiculous flip when Rayden debuts his new hair cut.
You can actually see Ray Park's face when he's about to land the flip.
It's also Ray doubling again for James Remar during that fight scene with the 3 ninja's too later in Outworld. This was his film debut right before playing Darth Maul in Episode 1.

This movie was my childhood. I don't care how much people make fun of it.
I remember watching this when I was 9 and unironically thought it was amazing. I still think it's amazing but for completely different reasons.

I can't believe I forgot about crappy effects monster. My mind is blown I forgot about something so bad. I use to love this movie because it had much more video game moves from game but its hard to ignore everything it is today. Its so funny.
The only good fight scene in this movie is Raiden vs Noob Saibot, and that’s because stuntman doing literally all of the fighting in the scene is Ray Freakin Park AKA Darth Maul.

Guys PLEASE. I'm begging you to check out the animated movie, Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge! It's absolutely the BEST piece of Mortal Kombat media that's released since the 95 movie in my humble opinion. Some flaws, to be sure, but it gets so much more right than it does wrong. It'd be a shame for it to be passed up because it's an animated movie and not live action.
I gotta be honest. I was introduced to the reaction community through THE NORMIES. However, over time I have come to love and respect BLIND WAVE. ps, I know yall did it before they did. pps MORTAL KOMBAT

This movie is the ultimate crapfest, up there with Batman & Robin, both coincidentally came out in 1997.

_Mortal Kombat_ (1995) and _Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles_ (1990) are two films that still stand on their own and that future movies will still have to work hard to try and capture that specific 'magic' the originals had. The 1990 TMNT had moments where they had heart like the moment between Splinter and Raph, and the campfire scene. The 1995 MK film was able to be serious and incorporate the video game but not too cheesy or gimmicky. Imo, the opening scene between Bi-Han and Hanzo in the 2021 MK movie had the perfect serious tone with homages to the video game but later in the second act couldn't decide if it wanted to be a superhero film (the music beats were awkward at times; missed opportunity to have an orchestral version of the video game track; e.g. the track you guys have playing at the end of this video at 1:25:33) or serious tournament heroes journey. I enjoyed the new MK film a lot though, I really hope the sequels polish their strengths and fix the flaws. The 2014 TMNT had good action scenes but the movie imo wasn't good and cared little about the lore.
Balance can be achieved and is possible.

They don't address Scorpion coming back from the dead because he was already dead from the beginning of the first movie; he's a damned soul ripped out of hell. Scorpion never became a robot either. Also, the orange ninja was Ermac before his makeover in the modern games.
Did they miss the movie showing Rain dying twice? Once when Rain...well...DIES lol. And again when that awful excuse for Baraka was knocked into that fire pit...it's just the footage of Rain falling in again..

I’m assuming Jax’s actor got the direction “act more street.” Also why did he have to be on an operation table knocked out just to get some sleeves put on? This movie is truly something else.

If you were a kid in the 90s this is the movie that taught you that the theater going experience can be truly disappointing.

Mortal Kombat: Conquest (1998) came out the next year on TV and looks better. The show had a Xena and Hercules feel, would love to see the guys react to it.
Only good thing about that whole movie...Motaro vs Jax was pretty fun and Ermac vs Sonya looks great !

I wished they just cut him out, because not only does he look nothing like Shinok but serves no purpose to the plot other then to scold Shao Kahn and make him look pathetic.
