This documentary, produced in early 2000, runs nearly two hours long and takes an in-depth look at the history of the Magpies through the television era - from the 50s to the beginning of the new millennium. Unfortunately that was a period of little success for the black and white, but the moments of brilliance still came thick and fast. Hosted by a younger (and thinner!) Eddie McGuire in his first season as president, this film was written and produced by the late, great, Stephen Phillips.
It happened 22 years before I was born but 1970 even hurts me.
Feel like we’d have gone to win a few more in the 70s and 80s and be well ahead in the Premiership Ladder.

No matter how one-eyed you are, you'd have to be a mug not to see how outstanding some of those Collingwood players and coaches were, and feel some sympathy for those who didn't get a flag.
Bob Rose was one of the greatest coaches Collingwood had. That’s sad he lost three Grand Finals in seven years by an average difference of five points. 1964 to Melbourne by four points
1966 to St. Kilda by a solitary point
1970 had a 44 point lead to lose by ten points against the Blues.

Sorry Eddie, Carlton & Essendon has won the most premierships only by a solitary, Melbourne won 6 of the 7 meetings against the Pies in mutual premierships and Carlton 5 of the 6 mutual premiership meetings v Collingwood. Yeah, but sadly the Blues have accumulated extra spoons this century.
