- This Climbing and Rigging Podcast has two parts:
1. Ken demonstrates how to use a face notch to cause a limb to swing in a desired direction after cutting.
2. Ken and Rip show how to use a face notch to lift a limb during rigging operations.
Remember folks Ken and rip are some of the best to ever do it
Just dropping in to refresh my memory. Going to need both of these techniques on a job tomorrow. Using the homeowner and his father as groundies, I need to be able to explain clearly what needs to happen and when, and why. Thank you for sharing and stay safe!
You folks saved a lot of people with all these videos. Much love to you folks!
I recommend this video for tree cutting education to my country Philippines. No arborists here just DIY it really scared for people who don’t have proper and basic technique . Thank you for this video
That chain is singing it's so tight!
Unwatchable.😬
TheToolnut that’s the first thing I said when he started the cut! Lol!!
i guess I am kinda off topic but does anybody know a good site to stream newly released series online?
@Dallas Heath Try FlixZone. You can find it by googling :)
@Grayson Garrett yea, I've been watching on flixzone for since march myself =)
Que buenos profesionales
The lift cut is genius
Yea definitely need to check the oil filter and make sure the oil galleries are clean. That shit drives me crazy. Needs to be oiling good and surgical sharp.
what mechanical advantage set up was used to lift?
Watching that saw makes me appreciate the 201t
Great vid.. thanks
casi siento que ya me corte la rodilla
Boy is that saw chain to tight
Nothing good is going to come of a looser chain while dangling in a tree. This guy is not an idiot, it's purposeful to mitigate failures. Why are people so fucking arrogant.
Leaning over ten times to stare at that tiny cut, Lol.
If u loosen your chain a little you will get a quicker cut
didnt even have his chainsaw tied off to himself. come on!
Your chain is way to tight for starters bud!!!
The kerf cut added to the sideways notch on the limb ..genius haha
He's cutting back towards his thigh on this notch?? Great display of the cut itself but definitely not the position you want to make that cut in
Pls buy a HD camera....
Good point. ... Just wondering if you knew that the Arbor pod video series was made about 15 years ago [camera quality limitations].
This shit looks like it was made it 1991 😂🤦🏻♂️
Love watching these safety nerds starting their saws "the proper way" ... no real tree guy does that... real tree guys just pull the cord while holding the saw with one hand..
these guys were pioneers in our industry. when you practice good, safe habits day in and day out you can get the job done safely and efficiently. Or you can go out like a cowboy and use “production” as an excuse for everything. these guys are the real deal. who are you ?
I learned something again.
now i will first practice on a few small trees and then the one in front of the house will come off.
it's too long.
thank you ken and rip.
I'll be very, very careful.
PS: i suscribet and learn more.
