Actually I think the Doctor used the light to keep the Patients still while he operates in them. So the same light from the Flashlight has the same effect of the light in the Operating Table

If the signal tower can only fully infected adults, then it made sense why a child is considered a threat. Their body might not be fully developed to be fully infected by the static of the signal tower which would explain why most children we see are way normal than the adults. However, these children are also seen to possessed some supernatural ability like as Six and Mono. This why these children are captured, to avoid them from sabotaging the signal tower. Most abnormal children (like the shadow children and the Teacher's students) seemed to be monstrous because the adults changed them that way to do their bidding. The Lady changing the runaway children into gnomes would avoid them from disturbing her as she knows that children are less to get manipulated than adults. (This is just some speculation anyway)
No, there are infected children like the taxidermy corpse at the hunter's house and the people in the bag look small compared to adults and there are smaller mannequins

What I like about the antagonists of little nightmares are their motivations, despite their heartless acts, they do everything to quench their inner emptiness, remaining stuck in a vision of addictions and dissatisfaction, always forcing them to want more than they have

its intresting that the extra limbs in the hospital resemble that of ball jointed dolls or prosthethics, maybe the doctor was a doll maker at some point? it would explain why he would provide the school with the "students"

The Mannequins freezing up in light could have something to do with the All-Seeing Eyes aboard the Maw, which cause all who they see to freeze up.

But I noticed something that all of the patients have in common.They don’t have a real face to show or a head.If they had a head,it’s covered with bandages while others are either replaced with items like teeth or some sort of masks and even lamps(s),its like the features that they once had are taken away from them by the Doctor when they came to the Hospital.The doctor may have used their faces and skin to create those masks since I also noticed most of the residents of the pale city already have their faces distorted in a way that there can be no place for eyes,nose and mouth.The people that may have come here possibly still had "normal" faces to show and the doctor took advantage of it...
I’m sorry for typing this long theory,but this is just my thoughts and opinions about the patients' appearance.

It's such a comman motif in little nightmares to have: a distorted face; just none at all or a face covering (mono and the lady) it's really interesting and l hope we get answers soon about why faces are so important, a part of me thinks is links to identity and individuality.

I think the doctors face looks the way it does is because he hangs upside down so gravity does its part in pulling down his face over time
I was thinking that the mannequin guys are heatseekers, seeing that they know where you are no matter where you are or how headless they are. If that were the case, could it be that the warmth of the light from the flashlight is what stops them?

But, uhm, question; not trying to be rude or anything ;; but like, if they were heatseekers, and the flashlight was a sort of heat, uh, now that I'm reading this it sounds stupid but, wouldn't they keep running/chasing Mono and Six, since the flashlight is heat? Like, since they're heatseekers they'd want to keep the heat and so they'd keep moving instead of freezing..?-

@@assura. Following this theory, maybe its because they already found the heat - which is what comes from the flashlight. Once its shown on them, think of it like, 'Shit I'm cold as fu- oh wait that's much better.' and they just stop moving becuase - heat's there already, why look for it? It's right there. They might not have the cognitive ability left to think of even going closer that's just me though.

No actually. He wears a bag on his head so Thin Man can't find him. The Thin Man is specifically looking for Mono because the Thin Man knows Mono can stop the tower, cause Mono has a bit of the Thin Man's powers and that's how mono can go through the TVs whenever he wants to. So basically Mono wears a bag on his head so the Thin Man won't know its him.

This would also explain why there is a Tv in the forest where Mono starts, since there is the time loop theory. Mono must have also lived in pale city, and maybe because of the tower he was able to find out his abilities, hence how escaped pale city into the forest where there was a tv there as well. So Mono/Thin Man maybe had their memories intact? Another theory video said that Six had future hallucinations from her past lives because of the loop, this could explain why Mono knows where to go through the forest and to escape the Hunter back to his once home, it may not register to mono right away that he is Thin Man, it will take a push to make him realize who he is, and he gains that knowledge through Six’s betrayal.
I believe the souls for the dolls come from the maw, and those bottles in seven’s story. The lady removes children’s souls, puts them in bottles, where they are shipped to the city. When a bottle breaks in the maw, it forms a shadow child enemy. I also think those theories about the light are cool, but the signal energy one seems like a bit too much of an assumption, and while the trauma one is cool, the one problem is that mannequins freeze in all light. We see one stop when overhead lights go on, which, unlike the flashlight, do not resemble an operating light
So to add to your theory about Little Nightmares as a whole. The universe of Little Nightmares is about control. Different types of control. Going off of that makes me think that the doctor is some sort of final boss similar to the masked woman in LN 1. It doesnt make sense for him to be a simple level boss because neither the Janitor nor the cooks had any reasoning for any type of "control".
The Masked Woman had total control of the boat through a type of control called greeded fear. She distilled fear into everyone around because of her greed of beauty. To prove this the people eating the food didnt really have masks on. It seems that that is their actual face. The cooks however had masks on to make them look ugly. This makes sense cause the Masked Woman didnt want anyone to have any beauty or be more beautiful than her. Same with the Janitor. The mask in the demo proves that he had a mask on so he didnt have a choice to wear one.
The Doctor here in this demo gives off a different type of "control". The control that he does is control through helping. When a person hears that someone is a doctor, they think of a person able to help with health problems. In this case it was help through physical surgery. It made sense that people came to him willingly, especially after a long period of time. A question to ask would be "Why did people keep going to the Doctor after they should have heard about his 'surgeries'?" The answer to this would be. They didnt care. They wanted to be changed, to be turned into a mindless drone. The doctor gave them a purpose by removing their sense of purpose. Thus the Doctor's way of controlling the hospital.

If he makes the prosthetics, how come they move? Someone must control them. Do they move from muscle memory? If so, how would they know that what they need to do - is catch the things that donˋt belong there. Someone must control them, they donˋt move on their own
Then again, the creators of the world of Little Nightmares did say that the only place that makes sense in this world is the Maw. So the manaquins moving don't have to make sense, or have someone controlling them.

My first assumption when thinking about the reasons the mannequins freeze because of light was not only because of the soothing hypnotic power of the TV screens, but I believe the doctor may have utilized the same power when doing his surgeries. Even when in their restraints, we've seen in the demo that they still writhe and are unstable. I'm thinking the doctor could've used the big light on the operating table to keep them still while the surgery was happening to stop them from flailing about. So not only is the light hypnotic to them, but they've all been trained to remain still when the light is shining on them just like in their surgeries. (Not sure how to explain that from a psychological perspective cause well... most of em don't have heads)

Possible idea, what if the Doctor's light was specifically made to freeze his patients, because the passage said they couldn't say anything once the process started. So maybe the first thing he did was make bright lights freeze his patients, so they couldn't fight back

"it's not as if the Patients could voice a complain" - the lamp over the surgery table may make the Patients freeze so it's easier to proceed the operation. The flashlight may have similar effect, because of the similarities of both.

As someone with PTSD, I definitely think you’re right about the trauma of the operating light. Whenever someone with PTSD encounters something that reminds them of the event, a key symptom is freezing up.

Hey Mike a video showed that there was a secret room in the hallway of the hands that tried to grab Mono. I don't know what the video is called cause it's in another language but it showed the secret room. If you pick up the cheese and go to the back of the hallway and see jail bars and go to the right side and turn on you flashlight you'll see the bars are chop off by a saw on the floor go through the broken bars and make a left turn and you'll find a door and it will show you the secret room and there's a hole in the center of the secret room and if you throw the cheese in the hole it will make a weird sound also I think there's a weird monster in the hole. You won't be able to see the monster and if you go down in the hole you'll die.
Anyway that is it I hope you make a theory about the monster in the hole and your theory's are the best!!!!

There might br another reason for patients freezing upon lights, the doctor could have made them so they freeze upon light so if they need to be "repaired" they won't struggle or move when being operated om

it could be that the doctor made it so that the patience don't move when there is light on them so they cant move when he is operating on them and it said that they "can't complain" and that's because they cant move. so when mono shines the light on them they don't move because they where made so that they don't move when light shines on them. that is my theory!

Decided to re-watch this to see if my opinion on this has changed due to new information. I really like your theories and using them to challenge myself and my own theories. That’s the beauty of the mystery of little nightmares 😁 there’s always new things to learn and theorize
Amazing vid! I can't remember if you've said it in the video, if there's a reason why the doctor favors the ceiling. Why though? Can't he walk? Or is it to keep blood into his brains so he can create more 'artistic ideas', or if the operating table is too tall for him and he doesn't want to bother getting a chair or something. Or, it could be because of the hanging beds and hanging in the ceiling is a lot faster to manage his patients. He seems like a big guy, so he must be heavy too and I'm just curious how he could move so easily and keep himself on the ceiling for so long.
