Oh, heck yes! This is really, really good. :D Ever since your Hop's Final Battle Theme remix (which is one of yours that I often find myself returning to), I've low-key been hoping for another Pokemon remix, so it was really exciting to see this in my notifications the other day. I saw it during my lunch break, but I wanted to wait until school was over so I could really enjoy it. Speaking of school, I totally get you there - it's definitely a major siphon on free time, but I do look forward to whatever music you're able to create during the school year. And hey, that's awesome that you're taking on commissions! It's always gratifying when people take such an interest in your music that they're commissioning you to make something for them.
In any case! I love how exciting and chiptuney the intro sounds, with those wonderful arpeggios being played by that smooth, retro-sounding synth - it kinda reminds me of some of the sounds used in earlier Sega Genesis and SNES games. As a side note, it's neat how you're always including new instruments, transitional effects, and other sounds in your music, yet some elements remain recognizable and just seem characteristic of your style. But yeah, I really like the selection of instruments used here, and it's almost got a trance-like feeling to it, with the fast drumming and overall spacious sound.
I might just be hearing things, but it sounds like sidechain is being used to great effect here, to create that rising pulse in the main sections, as well as the accent on most of the upbeats. The arrangement here is excellent, too, and there are some cool added supporting parts, it sounds like (e.g., the aforementioned synth chords in the main melody sections). But best of all are those neat melody variations, which seem to become more prominent as the song goes on. The original melody is still clearly recognizable, but the change-ups to the rhythms and notes and added flourishes sound fantastic! I always really enjoy when people are able to maintain that balance in the arrangement, like you've done here.
And as usual, the transition work is superb, and I like that high-resonance white noise being used to sweep through various sections. My favorite transition, though, is at 1:09, where you have that little computer beep-trickle sound (I have no clue how to describe it 😅) to segue into the next segment - it sounds very satisfying! I should also add that I really admire that you use such a variety of techniques to glue the different sections together, and the end result sounds seamless. So maybe "glue" isn't such a fitting term, so much as "weld", where gaps in the music just don't exist!
