Man, I just want to say that I appreciate your work. Your narration of the story where the tank squad gets separated in the sandstorm and they find that old structure, was one of the experiences that really hooked me on this whole thing. I clicked, saw the length but figured whatever I've got stuff to do but I'll check this out. But by the time they were trying to make it through the mud and their track came off, I was pretty much immersed. I pretty much entirely read non-fiction, haven't watched a movie or television in years, and for a long time didn't even bother to dream, so the experience of suddenly getting into a story at that time was somewhat meaningful.
Anyway, good stuff, much enjoyed.

There's also a deep web story, a rogue AI that posted protected governement footage deep deep within the darkweb after hours of searching through nonsensical sites in various langauges, half hardly decipherable. "Are you satisfied" it read in old latin. "Hell no I wasn't satisfied" and the rest of the video is for you to see...I'll have to link up the video as it is a little hard to find, a vague name that typically pulls up millions of results of dark web stories.

Its one of those stories that is really hard to end in a satisfactory way because as soon as you reveal the monster, its goes from creepy to 'meh'

Oh no, if the ending is a rushed performance that damages the flick as a hole! I had high expectations so this is kinda sad.
Am I the only person that notices all the things he does that wouldn't be done in space? Shower with running water, throwing trash around, letting droplets of liquids free float. Not hating just inner space nerd was like wait a minute.
It's 1976 Soviet space personnel, I wouldn't be surprised if they did all this stuff

I try to tell myself that most of the story writers may not know a lot of specifics so there is always going to some head scratchers. Even though common sense dictates they do a little more research before writing a story... I just take it into consideration that they're writing the stories on a whim when they get a chance to sit down and let the ideas flow it wouldn't be as interesting maybe sometimes if they did do so much research into it that it just gets too much into detail. I think it's better that they just let the creative process flow and let them write their story the way that they feel it should be written. But yes the argument can go both ways I don't know I just tell myself it's a story don't read into it so much pun intended.
All in all I have to say it was a great story. So I can't really complain too much about it.
My take on it is that these are subtle clues we are picking up on to show that all is definitely not what it seems. All those little things that pretty much anyone would know doesn't happen in space are going unrealized by the protagonist. I could be wrong, but I think the author was very deliberate in sprinkling these in during the story.

@@bradyoung8197 obviously, but where i'm from, it's rather unusual for a homeless Person to have a phone or a solar whatever, since those things cost money, which they do not have, they get something along the line of like 5 - 8 € a day from the state, and from what i understand, services like that are non existant in the US, so where does one get the money for those devices from?
@@lazarusrasputin5888I’ve been homeless and everyone has a phone. You just can’t survive in todays world without one. 50 bucks will get you an ok phone from simple mobile or something.
And you charge it wherever you can. Friends houses, cars , fast food places, Walmart, ect.

Such a Great story, beyond anything I’ve heard as far as detail, so many imagined/or not imagined scenarios, it left me in the end believing that he’d been the test subject of some type of drug/substance and that’s what he “heard” when 21% was spoken over the radio, or not?

Ok, that was definitely a tense one. I didn't blast off to dreamland. Good story, reminded me to watch Sputnik the movie that recently came out about a cosmonaut that brings something back from space.
Hour and a half with zero payoff. It set up dozens of possibilities. Is he crazy, a test subject, possessed, under alien attack? The author doesn't even know and never bothered to finish the story.
Very eerie story. Enjoyed it. Amazing the tricks the mind can play in solitude. Very well narrated. Look forward to more

Perhaps they had gone EVA before the capsule had docked* and were entering the station by a different route - which may explain the screws coming undone on the panel. If someone is crazy and armed you don’t want to come in through the door the nutter is expecting - instead, make your own door and try to take them by surprise from the flank or rear. *It could have been guided in remotely from ground control. Judging by the rest of the story we can assume they were conducting an experiment on him - the detailed log the other cosmonaut kept on him would fit this hypothesis - he was there as the observer. It also mentioned something about contamination. Perhaps he had been exposed to a mind altering drug, fungal spore, virus or similar, and they wanted to see how zero-g impacts its effects on humans. (We know due to IRL experiments that some pathogens become more dangerous when grown in zero-g). They could have been entering the station frequently since the other cosmo had the accident. They may have needed to keep tabs on him now that they didn’t have an on-site observer. Suggesting that he should take the sleeping pills also fits. Since they are so potent the Soyuz crew could be fairly confident he would be out for the count for several hours - giving them a window to enter the station, take readings, make observations then leave before he woke up. Except one time he woke early and almost caught them out, so they imitated footsteps and banged on his door to freak him out - the time he was cowering in fear in his room gave them the time they needed to get out and cover their tracks. Stations such as the one in the story don’t have many windows, so it is possible the Soyuz had moved much closer to the station after the accident to enable these ‘inspections’. So long as they remembered to fake the reduced audio delay, and kept the capsule out of the fields of view of the station’s few windows, they could have parked the capsule close by and the Cosmo on the station would be none the wiser.
@@cocopud OK, they board the station by another route- Meanwhile, the protagonist has boarded the Soyuz capsule, undocked, and is de-orbiting.

It is likely a cliffhanger open to interpretation
You know that story of the Russian cosmonaut? So, the cosmonaut, He's the first man ever to go into space. Right? The Russians beat the Americans. So he goes up in this big spaceship, but the only habitable part of it's very small. So the cosmonaut's in there, and he's got this portal window, and he's looking out of it, and he sees the curvature of the Earth for the first time. I mean, the first man to ever look at the planet he's from. And he's lost in that moment. And all of a sudden this strange ticking... Begins coming out of the dashboard. Rips out the control panel, right? Takes out his tools. Trying to find the sound, trying to stop the sound. But he can't find it. He can't stop it. It keeps going. Few hours into this, begins to feel like torture. A few days go by with this sound, and he knows that this small sound... will break him. He'll lose his mind. What's he gonna do? He's up in space, alone, in a space closet. He's got 25 days left to go... with this sound.
Do you edit the story in clips? I could swear about 3/4 in, there's a good few minutes that repeat.
