- "Eureka! Or... Yooreek-a? After intense experimentation, it was discovered that it's possible for the Ethereal elements to combine beyond Ethereal Workshop! However, this process is not perfect. Due to the instability of the Ethereal elements, this process causes some elements to "Twist" in new ways, becoming stronger and more erratic. It appears what was once thought to be mere experiments by Zarroe are, truly, a whole new clade of "Twisted Ethereals..." let's just call them Twisthereals, for short.
Believing itself to be able to see worlds beyond our own, Snarlequinn never really made much sense even as a member of the kooky, crafty workshop. Snarlequinn mutters utterings of nothing, telling tales of worlds beyond our imagination within a great alien in a far-away star system, and a vast variety of ecosystems within the torus (which Snarlequinn believes to be hollow on the inside.) While it's unsure how many of these are accurate, or merely glitches in the jester's psyche, it seems intent on obeying its prime initiative: spread joy to all who need cheering up, even in its new home!"

I love how Snarlequinn and Perplexray are so popular among the community, that despite being fanmade, are still being given their own custom sounds on various islands. Goes to show the level of thought and effort put into these monsters. Would love it if they were in the real game itself. 👀

THIS IS REALLY AWESOME
What i'm confused about is that this guy only has 1 twisted element. The quads would be more unstable than the triples i assume, so i find it kinda weird that the other three ethereal elements in this monster seem to mingle just fine, and the buckling of one element was enough to offset the other three.

I have a feeling that were these elements belonging to a certain giant orb, the twisted element would be crystal, or perhaps both crystal and shadow. Of course said orb is gonna be in the game anyway with a non-shadow-quad set of elements already.
This is great and all but this implies that monsters like nitebear were supposed to look like how they do on ethereal workshop. Other than that great job to everyone!

Only the shadow element, but an element being twisted sorta means all of the elements are in some way corrupted. Shadow's just the "Main" one
