It's always what Xin Qi wants and agrees to. He doesn't take into consideration what Min Hui wants. He doubted her in the worst way possible by believing that she killed Su Tian. Even if he says he never thought so, that little voice in the back of his head made him doubt her. He makes a mistake that causes Min Hui to distance herself from him over and over again. Yet, he still wants her by his side. Although Xin Qi isn't the worst male lead in C-Dramas, he made their relationship toxic. The first few episodes, up until Min Hui confessing his paternity, prove my point.
I can’t understand why he thought that they could just pick up where they left off after he, once again, doubted her and ignored her feelings and what that repeating doubt did to her faith in him. How could she ever trust him?

He treats this like a game. Just goes to show how little he thinks of the impact his actions had on her.
It's quite disturbing how awful the ML in dramas can be when they think they are in the right. Which always seems to exclude any thought or care about what the other person has been through. They will always be capable of being that awful and have proven they can't be trusted. I understand people can grow and change, but it should take much more than love bombing to fix the damage. I guarantee, if this were real life, taking him back would just restart the cycle of abuse.
they always make it a quirky endeavour for him to get her back and not a serious issue he is sincerely working on and proving to her that he is working on. that quirky music over an attribute of his that has caused her so much pain irks me beyond comprehension.
You should see some of the Chinese dramas where the male lead is violently toxic, physically, sexually, and emotionally abusing, the female lead only to discover his “mistake. “and then he demands a second chance. It’s the arrogance and inclination for spitefulness that is awful. At least this male lead was not, a virtually physically abusive, but I totally agree about his complete lack of trust, and how that will erode any relationship. Most of the time the mail leads are completely, oblivious to the fact that they need to earn back a second chance, if they get one at all
I just hate how he just says « I know you’re angry at me because of Chen Jia Jun »
Hate when a male lead simply says « I know you’re angry at me because… » instead of apologizing, simply treating as the female lead being unreasonably angry at him, not trying to understand him and being overly stubborn, dismissing her feelings and not really admitting he was wrong
He just said « But I’ve explained myself ! ». Didn’t apologize, didn’t admit he did wrong, didn’t acknowledge her feelings and reaction as legitimate and didn’t acknowledge how much he hurt her, once again after promising her he would trust her and treat her right
I hated this drama because of that
How is it that female lead always forgives so easily a male lead who doubts her but a female lead who doubts the male lead is unforgivable and stupid ?
The male lead only has to overly dote the female lead for a few days, instead of really reflecting over what he did and he’s forgiven ; female lead has to kneel, cry and never do it again
5:53 does he really think she’s just “sulking”? He still doesn’t understand what he did to her and how her trust in him is gone. Low EQ
Can anyone explain why this small child calls his mother by her first name? It’s strange! In most of these dramas, the small children call them, Ma or mama.
