The muscular system making use of “contraction and hydraulics” is interesting, makes me think of many bugs’ “muscle” systems - Ants and other insects have kind of web of tendons that push and pull, rather than the bundle-pad-sorta form our muscles have. And they’re fellow underground dwellers who rely more on vibrations than sight, though ants rely more on smell as well.
Love the ideea of the dwarven beard being sensory whiskers. Since they have such sensitive eyes may I suggest you look into eskimo glasses, they were sunglasses made of bone to reduce snow blindless, I think incorporating some of the designs in dwarven helmets or masks would be very fitting

I like how the dwarves sorta look like dark elves, which is fitting since Norse mythology scholars are speculating that dwarves and dark elves were possibly synonymous with each other.
I love matching of anctient, bronze age style of this world with old movie scratches and audio. It makes it so eclectic, so bizzare, like "yeah we invented sound recording and film tapes while having only Babylonian clay for writing, why do you ask 🗿"
Okay I'm starting to understand what that hint you gave meant. At least there's no implication of cross species cannibalism here. Just that dwarven bears are actually whiskers, which is a pretty novel idea.
@@kytyanimation I've been trying to come up with a serpenine race that all of it's senses on the verge of what's biologically possible. They have the independent eyes of the chameleon and eyesight on the max of what can be perceived with the ability to see all colors a veterbrate can see plus UV. They also have heat pits like a viper or bat to see infrared light or heat. Their hearing is at the max like Elephants, Bats, and Owls. I also imagine their sense of smell being so good it's on par with an elephant- smell is an important sense to them like seeing and hearing is to us, one born without smell to them would be disabled. I'll defintely give them whiskers now from this idea. I am also toying with their sense of touch making them able to sense vibration in the ground- to the point they know when an earthquake is coming. I am also toying with the idea of giving them electroreception and limited electrical abilities. They sense electrical pulses to eachother for a crude form of telepathy. They also have magneto reception so they never get lost. This did give me some inspiration though. I am trying to give them as much sensory abiility as possible.

Delightfully novel take on a typically stale concept. Interested to see what else you've messed with, but I will complain that the dialogue is slightly difficult to make out on some words. Some subtitles might be worth considering. Also, since I assume you're going for a scientificesque paper of sorts, the narration is a little unprofessional at points and could be tighter, but it's not a deal breaker; if you're having fun, don't worry about it, I certainly am. -Remember me when you're famous-

Well I can’t help but wonder what hybrids between some of the species you have developed would look like? What traits from both parents could they develop? Or would they be incompatible for reproduction? I wonder this because one thing one humans would due with any other species that we can cooperate that doesn’t involve fighting them, we hook up.

I'm currently just showing the main species on one of the planes and will add lore and characters in future uploads
