this game is what makes scarelt and violet even more frustrating than it already is. they already made a great modern pokemon game, so why did we go BACKWARDS
Scarlet and Violet is amazing though? Best main game. PLA is more fun in some aspects, but SV has more variety of what you can do

Legend arceus is probably one of my favorite pokemon games of all time. The catching mechanic is just so good and satisfying, the battle system is different yet fun and creative in strategies. I wish there was more trainer battles tho and more interesting places to visit in the map but it's pretty good. No joke I like how the game look like Scarlet and Violet look kinda wash out and a bit bland in colors while Legend Arceus is colorful and nice with this cool looking shading. Overall I really hope we get another game in this style
I LOVE Legends Arceus, but it’s disingenuous to say this game is the one with the brighter colours compared to Scarlet/Violet. It’s not, by a long shot. The overall style of the game is very desaturated compared to mainline games but it’s a good kind of desaturated imo. The style of shading is delicious though.
Arceus is clearly the game i and _many_ others enjoyed and continue to enjoy more, but let’s not be biased in the praise that we give it.

This game reinvigorated my Pokémon fandom after a bit of dormancy. Through all the faults, it was a great journey and will stick with me in my gaming memories

I never encountered any bugs or glitches
aside from that the story telling in the game is a step up from any other game and it got even better in SV

As much as I had hoped for the gen 4 remakes to be awesome, gamefreak really blew it out of the park with this one. It perfectly scratched that nostalgia itch and was a completely new and fun experience. What a great game.

Pokémon Legends Arceus was one of c if not the best Pokémon games of all time. I am super happy that they made the game, and I will never stop playing even through Gen 9.
I definitely plan on coming back and playing! But for the time grinding some gen 9!

Definitely not the best Pokémon game but certainly well accepted. If we got Arceus catching mechanics plus SV continuous map and better graphics then we have a 10/10 Pokémon game

Dude your opinions are invalid to everyone here I swear you are trying to get everyone to hate you and I’m 100% sure you are one of those people who thinks that Pokémon games are too easy though in reality it’s always been easy they just added quality of life mechanics and a lot of people have the mentality to just fight everything they encounter and they overlevel by accident you moldy cube of spam
I started legends arceus about a month ago and it’s been the best Pokémon game I’m played. I found your Channel from legends arceus and just watching your older videos ( from 8 months ago) it just got me excited to play more. Love the style of videos and this games exploration is the exact thing I needed. Open world Pokémon with actual Pokémon able to attack you, shiny Pokémon that you can actually see in game ( like stand side by side) and just great soundtrack too. Truly an amazing game

Legends is definitely one of my top favorite games on the switch. IMO it feels better than scarlet and violet. Way more polished. I hope they continue to make legends games for each region.
I mean, ignoring some technical difficulties in the game, but I would say Scarlet and Violet is overall superior: it has removed practically all linearity from the games. Legends Arceus is probably still better in the endgame, as the endgame is the early game, except with more options, where Scarlet and Violet will pretty much end in its fun after you finished the stories. But the only thing Scarlet and Violet is missing, is the catching mechanic.
The catching mechanics and the pokedex actually being a bit of a challenge is really the only thing that's better in Legends Arceus. But the auto battling, the open world from basically the start(excluding the tutorial part), being able to clear the game however you like.

Scarlet & Violet made Legends Arceus feel nostalgic. It also feels like it's at least 6 years older than Scarlet & Violet

@@bigmike9486 You don't even need to do that, you can simply make another switch profile and it will make another savefile for you and you can have up to eight profiles.

I wanted to take each starters and transfer them to my main game. But I forgot Pokémon Home wasn't compatible with SV yet. But apart from that the game had no problem playing on a second profile

Your video popped up in my recommended for some reason even though I haven't actually played PLA. But how much you've enjoyed it in this video is infectious and has convinced me to pick it up next time I get the chance.
Breath of the wild had the exact same effect on myself. Never been a gamer as such but I couldn't put it down, it literally felt like a life experience and I played everyday for almost 10 months. It's great to watch others find a game that they can get lost in and just enjoy. Awesome stuff dude!
It took me 7 months to finish the game due to the frenzied pkm, but once I got the Shiny Charm, the shiny hunting have me played a lot and enjoy the game even more.
Shiny hunting in this game just hit different haha so much fun! Super excited for Scarlet and Violet!
When do you get the shiny charm?
@@JMLGames2002 Cylenne gives it you once you complete the Pokedex and reach lvl 10 in all of the 240 pkm (Darkrai and Shaymin aren't required). It takes time but the difference is huge.

Im 26, I've been a trainer since gen 1 lol
I have memories with every game, but one gen that meant the most to me, was gen 4.
When the remakes first happened, personally I was disappointed, but it 180 on me.
As for arceus, it was the first look at what pokemon could be, and it was a remaining of Sinnoh... the pre sinnoh lol
I can go on, but thank you Legends: Arceus.
For long time trainers legends arceus truly was a breathe of fresh air and it was amazing I can’t wait to see what they do with the future of Pokémon!
I picked this game up around black Friday and I was blown away by this game.This is the first Pokemon game in a very long time that hooked me the gameplay is so addicting and the catching mechanic is the best I have seen in a Pokemon game. I spent hours just wondering around excited on what I will catch next the alpha Pokemon were a cool new feature taking down mini boss Pokemon in the wild is great.
Pokemon Legends Arceus is just the best modern Pokemon to date. I'll love this game! Sure we have Gen 9, but I'm still gonna play this every now and then. Hisui is surprisingly relaxing!
I got this game in July and I have been having a blast. This is one of my favorite Pokemon games and it's also gotten me to start shiny hunting. My second shiny in the game (Ponyta was the first) was a shiny alpha male Hippowdon, who I then added to my team and named Moto Moto.

This was and will always be the best Pokemon Game on the Switch. It played rough with SwSh, it focus blasted BDSP into the underground and it easily mach punched SV back into the Beta version it is. PLA, you'll always have a very special place in my heart
What’s funny is how beta legends arceus is too haha. However, it is a good game with a solid foundation, which is why it’s much better than all the other games. I just wish they’d make a fully fledged out/ high quality Pokémon legends game

@@Geebicus I would indeed like more trainer battles, but rather than gyms I would prefer a large, organized group of antagonists like Cipher in Pokemon Colosseum/XD, with some friendly battles here and then. I think it would work better with the story structure of a Legends game.
Or if they want to make some sort of gym-like quest here's an idea: a storyline of a war of tribes, in which you have to defeat their leaders to unify the land, leading to the creation of the first League (your character being known in the end as "The Champion" because of their feats).

I only recently came back to the game less than 2 weeks ago and have ended up falling in love with it, finally completed the dex the other day and am only 15 pokemon away from completing research 10 on all of them, I just decided to play this game while waiting for scarlet violet to come out but man I really forgot how amazing this game was and it has made me get back into pokemon more than I ever had been before. Thankyou for the videos also as I ended up binge watching them while waiting for space time distortions to spawn to get the locked pokemon for them (and am doing it again because I evolved my only shieldon I got and it's not research 10 LOL) but thankyou for the videos :)

This was my favourite pokemon game not only because of the catching mechanic which made the game more fun, but the overall odds for shiny hunting made it more fun than just sitting there for months hoping to get a singular shiny. Pokemon s&v is pretty fun but the odds for finding a shiny absolutely stinks and the fact that they dont make a sound when they spawn in bothers me, only because of the trash shiny pokemon that are hardly different from the regular ones will be impossible for me to see considering i wont be looking at every pokemon i pass. The egg hatching mechanic in it though is super fun in my opinion, and i love how you can spin around the egg while it hatches ^^

Man did I love this game, I completed the living dex, completed every Pokédex entry and I haven’t finished a dex since alpha sapphire. Oh and I can’t forget this game has the best boss fight in the entire franchise.

This is one of the very few games I've not only put hundreds of hours into, but played multiple times in different switch accounts. I was genuinely shocked at how fun it was. Not even sv atm can compare right now after 30 hours in
It's the best game from GF for a long time. Since White2 tbh. It's so good and it's truly gotten me into shiny hunting as well as being the only game where I can complete the dex and get the shiny charm. Honestly graphics aside, more of this please, Gamefreak. The mechanics are just much better and more immersive. Not to mention doing away with version exclusives was a very good idea and something I wish they'd retained when making gen 9. It def has it's flaws but it's their best in a while and it may stay that way for quite a few years.
I loved the jrpg aspects of the game it felt like I was doing things and not mindlessly clicking like other pokemon games.

Actually found this channel while looking for Legends Arceus shiny hunting content because I like listening to people shiny hunt in this game. Probably not the best idea while shiny hunting in the same game myself, but it's been fun. Thought I have developed the habit of looking at my computer screen every time I hear the shiny noise even when the screen is off. Got tired of running around looking for a shiny that was in another person's game.

As a relatively new Pokéfan, who started playing PoGo back in 2016 and expanded into the actual games in 2020 with LG: Eevee, PLA was easily my favourite Pokémon game at the time, only just recently being beaten by the gen 9 games. Everything in the game from catching Pokémon to finding shinies was super satisfying. I found a great community through PLA which I'm still part of today which has just taken my love for Pokémon so much further.
I found my first shiny 53 hours in just after I had beaten the story, which was a Mantyke followed by a Zubat the day after and I just kept finding shinies from then on until I burned out of the game. I believe I have about 2 boxes of shinies including 6 alphas, being Gengar, Electabuzz, Rufflet, Chimecho, Golduck and Walrein.
I haven't played PLA much in the past few months but I really enjoyed the time I did play it.
I'm currently working towards the shiny charm, and in all honesty, I don't think I've enjoyed a Pokemon game quite as much as when I first started my first game with Pokemon Black. I love this game so much that when my switch lite broke and i had to start over, I wasn't even truly upset. It's such a good game and I love it so much.
Barely a year old and the whole thing (*especially* the music) gives off such nostalgic vibes somehow

I had a feeling from the first trailer this game would be a masterpiece and all my friends doubted me. I assume because the game didn’t look polished yet due to how early the trailer was. I absolutely love this game. It was super fun filling out the Pokedex by actually researching the pokemon and then having a great chance at finding a shiny Pokemon because of it

As someone with awful luck, that cascoon/dustox experience is a normal for me (I went over odds for a shiny zorua, to every outbreak you could imagine)
That said, I still love the game and shiny hunting in it. I've always loved active shiny hunting more than passive (I've only ever bred one shiny, and that was only bc I wanted him in a specific ball)

This game was amazing, it also gave me huge poképark vibes weirdly enough, it felt like a mix between the usual pokémon games and poképark. With the challenging boss fights, I also have two shiny pokémon that mean a lot to me I found in the same day. For me this year was the first time I started uni 2021/22 and I hated waiting for a train that got delayed for 2 hours so I played it in silence at 10/11pm and in that time I didn't aim to shiny hunt because I had no volume but came across 2 random encounter shinies, one being starly and the other one being Stantler
They are my two favourites just for that reason.
Plus wryeindeer is green which is my favourite colour but pastel green.
I'm on the verge of completing the Pokedex and I agree with your words, this game is a blast
I had a great time playing Legends Arceus. I'm really looking forward to also enjoying Violet tomorrow. Transferring my Hisuian mons in 2023 and finally getting to battle other people with them will be great too.

It's wild. Arceus is the one I had the most hesitation about and it's been my favorite game since gen five. I got hyped for Scarlet/Violet after that and after about 10 hours of it, I have no desire to even play more of it. I'd just rather go back to Arceus.

PLA was SO good. I was really hoping Scarlett and Violet would have taken more from it. Scarlett and Violet are good (ignoring the mountains of technical problems) but there are so many things from PLA I wanted in S/V.
The catching mechanic, better mounts, better menus, pokedex challenges, more streamlined battling, quests with a quest log, etc.
Can't wait to start playing this one after I've finished Scarlet & Violett

I'm kind of embarrased to say this, but Pokemon games were far very complex for me to dig in mostly in terms of strategy, I just was waiting for a game like this, with a solid story, questing and simply following up the "catch 'em all" experience. This game greatly delivered that to me and for that I truly love this game. Your videos are really funny and I just hope at some point you finish your shiny dex. Cheers!
Maybe the best game I ever played. I love it. I hope in a DLC in future. My first shiny alpha was a Combee (but male😥). Then I caught 3 shiny alphas: Drifloon, Machoke and Octillery

My first shiny alpha was the alpha snorlax either just before or after getting the shiny charm. Second was the alakazam. third was a voltorb from the first time i did a massive mass outbreak i literally went there and then boom shiny alpha voltorb and the newest is the mismagius at the corornet highlands. The first ever shiny I got in PLA is drifloon. This game has been so insane and fun and bad at the same time. Looking back I remember all the sleepless nights and fun times I've had. This has to be my favourite pokemon game and I just feel so moxed about scarlet and violet now. I'm excited and happy but also sad that PLA is done and going to be overshadowed by Scarlet and Violet.

Nuzlocking this game this past summer was a fun time. My only complaint was the battle system; at times, many deaths I suffered felt really cheap.

I think it might be one of my favorite Pokémon games ever. Among Pokémon Platinum, HG SS, BW2, and definitly my second favorite Nintendo Switch game (Just behind BOTW).
I didn't like the direction Pokémon took ever since it's jump to 3D with X and Y, and I even skipped some games from then on, but this game was just... so good! So refreshing! Truly awesome, and will always remain to be one of my favorite gaming experiences ever.
i been playing pokemon since the first game on gameboy, before we had color handhelds (fuck im old saying that outloud lol). blue was my first game, and every year that passed we got a new game which was basically the same. follow the path of the gyms the anime does, catch a few pokemon for ur team doesnt have to be many, and go do puzzles along the way while grinding to level up. while the forumla is timeless and interchangable it hasnt really changed much since blue with a few alterations (IE megaevolution, dynamaxing, etc). Arceus however was an insane breath of fresh air for the series and what i've been looking for in a home console release pokemon game for decades. an open world environment where the pokemon actually walk around in with no real load screens or encounters, crafting pokeballs like kurt, where encountering and collecting them is actually fun with the grind, customizable characters, it was such a great experience. scarlet and violet tried to capture this but something feels off (other than the frame rate) compared to legends arceus. I hope we get more games like this in the future. I would love a legends mew with a pure kanto theme for the oldheads like myself. or even legends lugia with johto

It makes me sad that we never received a proper DLC expansion to this game. The Pokemon Company kind of shuffled Legends Arceus out the door for Scarlet/Violet hype. Seeing all the reviews on SV's performance and missing features I wish they would have pushed those games back a year and instead released more content for PLA

Pokémon Legends Arceus was the very first Pokémon game that actually got me to play the whole thing. I’ve now restarted it and now that I know what I’m doing it’s so much more fun. Brings a level of nostalgia already that’ll probably get me to come back to play when I’m older!

This game would’ve been so hyped rn had S/V came out before this, it definitely would’ve been a step forward
Finished the pokedex in Scarlet yesterday. Gotta say ultimately Arceus is pretty much the better game in every way. The story is rough in both, and S/V have the advantage of more new Pokemon, but Arceus is non-stop fun once your free from cutscenes and ultimately progression just feels way more impactful and satisfying.
I absolutely love Pokémon Legends Arceus. I really hope to come a Legends 2 Game.
