I love bringing the outside, inside. My favorite place is the woods as well. No hot beach for me. Give me mountains, trees and a cool lake any day. When you started with the cardboard around the tree, I thought "oh no". Even when you put the newspaper on it I thought "on no, that can't be right". When you started painting it I thought "oh my, there it is". I love being creative with paint. I am addicted to painting. Walls, pictures, craft ideas. LOVE IT!!! Love your style.

Alwyn, your home is beautiful! Please don’t ever think you need to be more “adult”. Words of wisdom that my most favourite Auntie taught me (and lived her life by) seem so appropriate for you. My Auntie Rachael - who was 96 when she passed - always said “I HAVE to age, but I refuse to fully grow up!” I am currently 59 and even though life has thrown some curve balls, adulting can be SO dull, so I refuse to submit my spirit to that! 😍 🧚♀️
I can’t begin to tell you how special this video was to me! It reminded me of creations in my classrooms, offices and other special rooms around my home. I was born and live in what is known as the Druid City which is why I love trees. Everywhere I turn there is a tree or plant! In addition to my indoor trees I have them on my patio, front porch, back porches and of course the woods behind my home. I love your walls and that would be something for me to try in my little cottage potting shed that I want to build in the late fall. Thank you for your inspirational videos, beautiful music and adventurous spirit! 🧚🌲🌙

I am get ready to do some small renovations in my home and I have a wall in my living room I want to be unique and I think your enchanted forest is lovely. I am going to have some thinking to do now. I have been doing a version of this in my bedrooms, starting many many decades ago... When I don't I have sleep issues!
Mine is a much darker nighttime version....over big messy stripes of forest greens and navy I add almost black trees.. when the light hits these trees in the day they are beautiful. I have played with textures and colours for that past many decades and even done a few olive and grey versions... None as light as yours though...and none ever in such a space as yours. What ideas you have started for me!

There is something so enjoyable about drawing or painting trees. They are so easy yet so complicated. You cant mess them up. Anytime I want to doodle or paint a masterpiece I go with the the lovely trees and never regret it. I'm drawn to them in nature like a magnet. Taking more photos of trees then most anything else. And when I take a picture of a person I think I tend to put them near trees as well. I guess what I'm trying to so say is I can totally relate to your love for the forest. Lol

I love what you’ve done..💚 I live in a tiny heritage listed cottage in a forest. It has red cedar walls inside the main area so I can’t paint them. So i bring the outside in with huge dead branches everywhere wedged behind and hanging over my furniture that I’ve decorated with faux ivy. I have a few big framed Goddess pics too to fill the walls. Altars everywhere with lots of forest finds. My tiny bedroom was an add on so the walls are white but as I don’t own this cottage my landlord isn’t keen on me painting. So i have more dead branches hanging off the walls and wedged behind my bedhead that I’ve decorated with faux ivy as well. To fill the main blank wall in my bedroom i have a big wall hanging of a dark moon witch and vintage shawls on the other walls with faux ivy hanging over them. There’s heaps of vases of real greenery all over the place too. So the inside of my cottage looks like a forest 💚 I love it, it’s majikal and I feel like it reflects the forest witch that I am..💚

I know this is over a year old now. But, this is so pretty!!!!! I'm so glad I live where woods are my backyard & not houses. There's only 3 other houses on the sides of us and the rest is surrounded by nature!!!

I’ve been finding many of your videos inspiring, but especially this one. My decor is more like…Victorian-inspired vampire mixed with a little brown-toned viking/medieval thing going on, but all my friends seem to agree that were I thrown into a fantasy world, I’d be a wood elf, and I suppose I agree since growing up I wanted so much to be like Arwen, and to find someone who loved me + treated others the way Aragorn is, and I always get drawn to the elves in any movie or show I watch, book I read, or video game I play (I pick a wood elf every time I play Skyrim too, I can’t bring myself to play as anything else even though I am curious about the different experiences I might have). My favorite color is red, and clearly I love these deep vampiric styles, including lots of roses all over the place. But I ADORE the forest, I love being in it, I love standing barefoot in creeks and when my hair smells like the trees and campfire smoke, and the way the morning mist smells and feels on my skin. I live in Oregon and we’re often called the enchanted state, the fairytale state, etc. there’s lots of nicknames around how beautiful our woods are. There’s a road we take when we go to one of the beaches, Lincoln City, that is COVERED for miles down the road in foxglove and I swear, it feels like I’m in another world when I see it. I want to incorporate more of my elven, woodland loving side into my surroundings, but as you can imagine, they’re very different ideas and red and green clash so often, it can be hard to mix the two. But your creations are actually helping me to find a way to somehow make it work. Normal decor is the easy part, I’ve just been using a black base (bedding and furniture) with gold/brass and bronze hardware and frames, and the occasional red accent piece with lots of ivy everywhere, all my red rose things I already had, and dark florals that include red flowers and green leaves and stems together to tie it in. But finding prints! That is so hard!! I have been looking around for inspiration to find more ideas of red things that occur in nature, and how to keep the balance in this last section I need to combine, and I think if I find the right print with one of the red topped mushrooms like the 🍄 emoji, it’ll help further it along. I’m 26, trying to balance the responsible adult in me with the curious person who still sees the magic in the world that I did as a child. I keep stumbling in this process because as I keep trying new ideas, it keeps starting to feel a little too much like a child’s room, and as you put it, I’m trying to find the sweet point where it’s not too childish nor too adulty, and still has that enchanting feeling without also feeling too immature for this stage in my life. I’m no painter, and I rent in apartments where you’re not allowed to paint at all, but I LOVE the way you did your walls. That sort of idea would help so much as well if it were allowed for me. You’re very lucky you have the landlady that you do. That turned out beautifully. I’m still catching up on your videos, as I’m a new viewer and I had decided to start from the beginning and watch up until now, and I can’t wait to see what else you’ve come up with since this video, and what you might in the future. Your energy is incredible as well, I was having a not so great day with horrible thoughts and some tears, but even though screens tend to not help in this, I knew that continuing on catching up on your videos definitely would, and I was right. Thank you for sharing your magic with us🖤
