I soaked them in water over night and to my surprise....they went right back to their original shape and retained the same rubbery properties. Preferably a 1200 Mines as always with my bikes immaculate, truly as new with no signs of winter damage. At 63 even though I should know better I’m having strong urges, lol, keep your eyes out for one if you could Charlie, I only took mine for it’s Mot plus one 90 mile ride last year, I dare not say anything to my wife at the moment cos I actually said this would be my last bike ever!

    • @motorcyclerescuer
      @motorcyclerescuer  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Hi Stephen, was it high tickover before cleaning?
      It could be a few issues mate. Idle screw adjustment.
      Balance issues
      Diaphragm issues especially after cleaning carbs. If any of the cleaner got onto the Diaphragms then they could have got out of shape.
      Air leak would also cause idle issues. So a suction tube not put back on or a carb boot not fully seated.
      You will have to look into all of these to try and find your issue mate

      It still worked for about an hour just fine after the drop but after that it stalled and wouldn’t start. Got it home and now when I turn the key the Neutral and oil lights come on but lose brightness as the bike sits, same for the headlight. The horn makes a small kinda chirp sound as if it honks for a split second.
