In the early hours of July 8, firing erupted near Phaitol village in Jiribam district, escalating tensions amidst ongoing ethnic clashes in Manipur. Rahul Gandhi will visit the homes belonging to both Kui-zo and Meitei communities that were reportedly set ablaze. Joint operations by security forces are currently underway to address the situation.
