- I Spent 1 Year Updating My First Game. . . It's been a while since I gave an update on my first game, but I've finally got something new to share. I teamed up with Rodrigo (rogart) and WRMHOLE to create some new costumes, animations, music, and sound effects for the game.

I feel like a good name for this game would be Poly-Rush, as it brings the polygon art style, and the main theme of the game into a stream lined title. Although it’s just an idea and you may have already created a name for the game
“I’m worried I’ll somehow get a copyright claim from my own music” is probably the most CZcams-esque statement I’ve ever heard

Idk if someone has said this already but it would be cool to have the costumes pieces separate to mix and match (Like you said) and you would also be able to choose which victory animation you wanted as well as which color as a customization you liked. Good job on the game, very cool!

Its amazing you did so much primarily by yourself. Not trying to take away from the amazing work and assistance youve received from others, but you were the start and the brain behind it all.

There’s studies that show coming in second place is actually more emotionally hard than third place. Third place is often just happy to be there and 2nd can’t stop thinking about how close they were and analyzing their performance for what they did wrong
Well, second placer looks like they’re trying to hide the pain, and third placer is just raw emotion. So perhaps they are more emotionally hurt.

If you ever do more costumes, might I suggest: Samurai, Vampire, Zombie, Clown, Robot, Wizard/Witch, Paramedic, Martial Artist, Soldier, Jester, King/Queen.
Robot already exists (but doesn't have a animation) and zombie is planned for after the game releases
The wizard, robot, and the paramedic already exist
Also, a cowboy, an office/business suit, and a 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, or 90's based teenager-ish outfits could look good (that last one was added because I think that the clothes teens wore during that time looked so cool)
Maybe a soldier, tech guy, gamer, construction worker, and gym guy?
Also, you can do YUR MUM, or, a pig head, cow body (look at dem utters), and a whale tail

You should make it where you CAN add different costume parts on your torso, head, and legs. But depending on what headgear you have on, that animation will play when u win or lose
This is a great game, I hope you carry on developing in the future, and eventually publish this game, this has the potential to grow into a massive game with thousands of active players.
It's cool how each costume has its own victory. If you used the ordinary victory animation for mixed costumes, it could work... Probably..

I was wondering when you would post about your game again, but honestly, I'm kinda glad it took a while for this to come out, because it allowed you to show off some amazing stuff!
I've definitely got high hopes for this, but don't feel obligated to hurry up or anything. I'd much rather give this game the time it needs to reach its full potential than see it get rushed and come out before it's ready.

Honestly i just can't wait for more Levels to come out, Ever since the movement was first shown in your older videos and I've just been SUPER Excited to see how Creative and Wacky the levels will be

"Poly Party" sounds like what you might call a non-sexual version of an orgy.
I think one of the main thing that makes coming up with a title for this game so difficult, is that there’s not anything in it that’s like, “oh I never seen that before” it’s just a standard quality game. Maybe the best thing is if the title had something to do with racing and platforming. I don’t really have any title ideas.

You know, you could still do the multiple custome option. Do it like this:
If you have the full outfit: Play the special outfit victory pose.
If you have partial outfits: Play the standard victory animation.

These animations are so good! I feel like these should be a treat to players who grind and collect all three parts of the same costume. That being said, incomplete costumes can have the generic animation while the completed costumes can show off their unique animations

Anime outfit:spikey hair,orange shirt with ripped sleeves.victory animation:he drops his ice cream and gets so angry a beam of light surrounds him and the he calms down and gets another ice cream and the animation repeats

I think it would have been smart to have kept the mix and match characterization but added the win animation as a customization option as well. Either way, it turned out really great!!

i think the winner's animations should interact at least a little bit with 2nd and 3rd place, like the firefighter winning anim could light 3rd place on fire, the nurse revives 2nd place, etc.
I remember being excited to play this in mid 2021 and I still am!

Only thought about the animations is have the podium be part of it so like the surfer one it’d look cleaner if the water looked like it was apart of the podium inside of on the top or just little details that make it look like the podium is something that takes parts of the first place character

You can keep the mixing and matching of costumes, but the victory animation is just the default one.
I had the exact same idea in mind!

When you realise that the game is back from the grave as is getting closer to launch everyday. This seems like one of the better games to date as most games now that have been released are just kinda similar or not good
But… this is kinda similar to Fall Guys and Mario Odyssey… :|

Here’s a idea, change the costumes so that you separate them again and if you mix and match the costumes it just defaults to the original victory animation. (With no costumes)

Idea: with whatever charachter you pick, your victory stand looks different according to your costume!
If you can pair the animations to the head it would be great! People can mix and match costumes but win animations would be chosen depending on what hat they use.
