Growing up in Barbados, I only got a tiny taste of the new music like Ska, Rock Steady, and Reggae coming out of Jamaica because we only had 2 radio stations and they mostly played hit music and calypso from Trinidad. So now I love catching up on all the Jamaican music I missed back then., much Thanks. (I still have some Ken Lazarus, Byron Lee, and sparrow albums.)

Reminds me of the dances at the Santa Cruz YWCA in 1989. The local SHARP skins and we scooter mods, along with the occasional Rasta would get together in this tiny dance studio and cut it up to ska and rocksteady. Such great memories.
