- Self-inductance is the tendency of a coil to resist changes in current in itself. Whenever current changes through a coil, they induce an EMF which is proportional to the rate of change of current, through the coil.

No teacher explain like you in India they just focus on formulas hats off to you sir
Yes very true they only know how to do problems
Why u take off ur hat
Harsh truth
Your teacher *
He's the best!!
I've been in Electronics for 20+ years, and this is by far the best explanation about inductors I've seen, great job !
I love the way you teach, it's like hearing a story😍
he is funny 😂 I'm giggling while learning
fr
Indian tutorials are leading in CZcams. I even find tutorials that are rarely made by other nations.👏🏽👏🏽
Ikr, I'm studying Galois theory for my physics program and no matter how niche the topic I'm looking up there's an Indian channel with an explanation, it's amazing
Wow, I read this in the book like ten times over and over trying to fully understand it. I listen to you explain it once and I get fully. Thank you!
First!
😂
😂😂
🤣 last!!
You are something special
MR. Mahesh
Hats off
Super useful. Couldn't understand what on earth an inductor was and we have already gone past AC circuits and LCR combinations. But now it all makes much more sense.
Moral of the story :
Final Battle : - Inductance says -- I HATE changes in the current..!!! 😝 Good one sir.
Hi mister Shenoy! I just want to say that you reaaaaaaaally helpt me a lot! I'm studying Biology at the university in Belgium right now and Physics was always my most difficult subject. BUT NOW I FINALLY GET IT! I love you man, I really do! ❤️

The reason for why I love physics is because your way of teaching is incredible........you make the topics alive and everything gets crystal clear
this gotta be one of the best explanations for the inductions
Allow me to ask, why is the current in the circuit changing over time? I thought this is series circuit in which current is constant?
@@marq6325 the current wants to go from zero to some max value. In a simple resistor circuit it happens almost instantaneously but when an inductor is introduced it forces the battery to increase the current slowly in some equilibrium condition. Once the current reaches its maximum value then the circuit behaves like a normal resistive circuit except that the inductor stores some energy in magnetic field.
Deep respect for you. Your explanation was detailed and yes we won't forget that the Inductor has no issues with the current just the change In current
This sir, is what we call "perfection"
Thanks a lot.. I was starting to get hopeless and then, thanks God, I found this video :)
i swear i literally smiled so much after this lecture, it just made inductors so easy oh my god. i really enjoyed this video, i love this method of teaching, plus the language was so clear and friendly voice, it actually felt like i was just hearing a story
wow.
Wow. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen an educational video done so damn well. Huuuuge thanks.
Please upload all these before our board exam commence 😭
I am also waiting for the same
Thousands of videos on Internet
But you are our gem and resonating factor ❤️
what i had studied in my school days , inductors are short circuit for DC , but now i understood that i was told only about the climax and not the complete movie..thanks tutor for the animation and your amazing explanation...!!!!simply WOW
Incredible sir !! It was a great experience to attend your lecture.
U always got my back ! I love physics because of u ,keep hustling teaching is really ur thing .Thank u, much love and respect !!
God bless you so much, the best way to learning is by using stories, you’re a great teacher. Thank you sir😊
These videos have left a huge impact on our youth in the way that we learn things,
Hat's off to Khan Academy especially Mahesh Sir
*_Summary Of The Video :-_*
*Inductors and Self Inductance*
* When we connect a bulb to an inductive circuit using a DC supply , we notice that bulb takes some time to glow in its maximum brightness.
* Inductors do not have any problem with current.
Inductors have problem with *_change in current_.*
* Whenever there is change in current across an inductor , it induces an *EMF* to oppose that change in current.
* The ability of an Inductor to oppose the changing current by inducing an EMF is often called *INDUCTANCE* (Self Inductance)
* If changing current and opposition both are happening in the same coil then it is called *SELF INDUCTANCE*
* Inductance is like *Inertia* .
* Unit Of Inductance - *Henry*
* When we turn off the switch we see a *Spark* because of incredibly high voltage supplied by inductor due to decreasing current.
* It is dangerous to turn off switch of an inductive circuit because we might get a heavy shock.
that is by far one of the BEST Videos I've seen on CZcams in regards to Inductance!! Thank you!! Great Example and Explanation from Beginning to End!! You're the best!! I look forward to checking out your other videos... I'm a NEW Subscriber!!
Wow, really enjoy it. You explain awesome! Now I understand it. Thanks!!
They is something special about Indian tutors, more love from Africa, thank you sir
Excellent explaination. You must have a deep understanding of the material. Thank you for your video.
thank you so much sir I was reviewing EM theory and this is worth a thousand hours of search
thank you , I study from Iraq , 6th
طالبة في السادس الاعدادي 2023 🌾💚
I don't know how to thank you. Loved your work. Wish you live long to teach us many more
Wow, this explanation was awesome!
So much clarity about the subject. I bow down to u sir🙏🙇🙇
excellent and awesome explanation. god bless you sir.
Thanks to this great explanation, I am now totally clear with self-inductance😁
i always find it fun, when teachers explain pure science by saying "the coil hates the change in current" or f.ex. "the electrons WANT to have 8 electrons on the outer shell". ofc its easier to understand it like that but for people who are driven by pure facts and rationality its controversive when they explain it like that and its fun
Highly appreciated, very clear explanation, thank you.
really nice explanation!
Absolutely brilliant explanation of the subject.
I am in love with your explanation..... Real addiction... keep uploading all topics ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I finally understand everything. Thank you sir
Litterally found one gem today....thank you
Best way this could ever be explained thank you
This is a FANTASTIC explanation. Thank you so much! (On a side note, however, if the switch is opened, wouldn't the bulb explode first, instead of the us getting the spark? I may be getting picky)
You're good at teaching students high school and college level. Keep it up. 👍
It is the voice, affected accent and drama that kill it especially after you heard Salman's rich, smooth and resonating voice.
The lecture was incredible. Tysm!!!!
couldn't be explained better. thank you so much sir
Dude I've witnessed so many teachers and khan academy teachers even, no on is better than this guy
Love your explanation.....you explain every concept excellently ❣️
very educative. thank you regards
I realy appreciate this guy he explain everything ❤❤❤
This is actual learning of physics as there's no focus on just mugging the formulas but it is actual concept
Teachings are amazing. What makes him to teach so interestingly.
Awesome lecture, thanks sir
awesome explanation 👌
Wonderful explanation 🔥❤ Jazakallah
Explanations are great!!!
It’s awesome Sir . It’s totally helpful ❤
At least after years, I think I understand now. Great job
Best video on inductors yet!
Excellent explanation.
Good job.. all clear 👍
Love it !
thanks for english translation
its really amazing
How an indian explain things , straight to the gist, simply and logically. I think India must be an intellectual superpower.
I like indian people.
I swear u made it easy thank you bro
This is by far; amazing!
