  • Off the clock show 38 notes from Joshua
Special announcement on December 2nd there will be no live off the clock show I am taking one week off to spend time with family. There will be a prerecorded give away night show as always and Melissa will be the host in the comments like last week. Make sure to donate for the prize wheel we will be spinning for the cash prize tonight. Donate to get your name on the wheel! Tonight I want to talk about a few important topics that have been on my mind this week. Alright let’s get into things that happened this week. It’s been a very busy past couple weeks for me doing quotes and meetings we been back and forth following up with the big quotes from last week but the holidays seem to be slowing things down as far as the process goes but I been learning about prevailing wages this week something I haven’t come across in my 5 years in business until now. If you have dealt with prevailing wages I would love to hear how your experience was. Seems like it’s going to cost me a lot more to do the job but also benefits my employees tremendously! I did a quote for red lobster this week and that would be a weekly client if they accept our bid. I’ve been super blessed with all the work this week we did very well with the window cleaning side of things but the shop is still slow. We are having a 20 percent off sale for Black Friday hoping to draw some traffic into our storefront location. Our new employee is learning and excelling quickly in his skills he likes cleaning the glass more than the tracks as expected but he is willing to put the hard work and long hours in to get the job done and I’m grateful to have a hard worker working for us. His work ethic has been solid. My main guy is doing well with learning how to train different personalities and I’m thankful for his willingness to push through his comfort zone to help build our company community. He always has a good attitude about learning and growing in the company.
Still looking for a part time secretary to help Melissa as she has been working her butt
Off to keep things running smoothly a lot of scheduling and she helped make a food drive happen and we donated food to 23 families in need today and she made it all happen I am super grateful for her help. We did a food drive this year instead of what we did last year because we had a bad situation happen last year with personally give food out to families.
I had to learn something from my HR this week and I wanted to share this with y’all on the show. We worked through our employee handbook for 2023 and learning all the regulations for California was a lot to consume Melissa and I spend about 4 hours with our HR department going through every aspect of what will be our 80 plus page handbook for employees we hire in 2023. I highly recommend making sure to have a HR department that you can help you with this if your going to do an employee handbook. I would highly recommend doing this immediately if you even have one employee. This is what is needed to be done to properly structure your foundation in business. The entire book of Ephesians is so good. I would encourage you if you are a believer to read the entire book it can be done in 30 minutes to an hour and it’s been so powerful for my life. This month I will be reading the entire book of Ephesians one chapter at a time each week. I pray that this would be an encouragement to those who are believers to pray and be in the word more for the glory of God. If your a husband or a dad it our responsibility to lead our family and love our family with patience and kindness. Leading our family will require us to spend time with them and be Men! We should battle our sin like men because we love Christ. We should be Strong men who work hard and love unconditionally. Also it’s important as a husband to make sure your doing fun things with your wife because she is your first ministry Have Bible studies and date nights. Even if that means staying at home and doing something Fun at home. These times are critical in bonding and building a relationship in your family. Also don’t forget about my album the songs you hear on this show. My music is just a side hobby I do to glorify my Lord all my music is also on Amazon, Apple, Spotify all that just look up Joshua Birdsell. New album I’m working on should be released around November maybe Christmas at the latest. When times are tough this is what I remind myself. God is always in control and all knowing he make everything clear when we trust in him and have faith. Thanks for watching have a fantastic night!! Make sure to check out our sponsor Randi with WMS and Ray with Aeria Pro they are awesome and if you call them or use their services tell them thank you for supporting our show! See y’all next Friday night at the same time 6:00pm pacific time!
