Yes, please get into Willow's background, she's phenomenal. She grew up around music, her father's a rapper, mother was in a metal band called Wicked Wisdom. She started in music at 9, stepped away then came back at about 15 years old and has explored different genres and shown exponential growth in her artistry over the years.
Theres a very prominent figure in r&b music named Erykah Badu, that was her mentor for a moment. But you can hear a Radiohead influence in this album too which is insane. She’s also working with Jon Baptiste on this album

Willows new album has to be my favourite from 2024. Soulful jazzy experimental pop with a prog influence. What’s not to like?
Willow's mother at one point was really into heavey metal. Headed her own band in this genre too.
So, she definitely got her rock from influence from Jada

Even though he died 3 years ago, Chick Corea has a new album out with Bela Fleck called Rememberance. I heard Bemsha Swing, the Monk tune. An arrangement for the ages. Unbelievable.
Her voice sounds like a synthesizer at times. So many amazing sounds. The kids are alright. Music will be fine with people like this working on it.

She's a South London artist and I would love it if you couls react to her live medley at the 2024 Brit Awards ceremony. But about Willow, I am amazed by her musical and artistic journey, and by the power and emotions her voice conveys; She's a rare and very precious gem!
