Nice plant and color combinations! And oh, it's so satisfying after weeding is done. Beautiful, and thank you for sharing your knowledge and talent!

Your garden is looking great. I love that color combination of the plum and chartreuse with the astilbe and heauchera. That is a fantastic combination.

Thank you 😊. It’s the part of the garden which is giving me so much pleasure at the moment. We are heading into our third week of rain, it’s particularly cold, daily temperatures are only in the 50’s so bizarre. Can’t complain too much though as the rest of Europe are struggling with temperatures well over 45 (115 Fahrenheit), give me cool conditions all day long.

@@thequarrygardener5578 It's all looking great. I prefer cool temperatures to hot any day. It is much easier on the plants.

Hi! Love the colour contrasts. Our family just call the weed 'sticky weed', I am sure it has a proper name 😊

Hello, I’ve had a few comments about the weed, it’s definitely a sticky weed. I had bobbley bits all over my shirt by the time I had finished pulling them out. Thanks for watching 😊

Galium aparine is the name your looking for, but in the north east it’s called locally as Sticky Jack

Great to see you making a planting opportunity after losing the Silver Birch. You have a great talent at knowing where to put plants and which ones go well together. The purple foliage plants will really look good against the Lime Marmalade Heucheras. It dawned on me a few years ago just how important coloured leaves are in a garden. Have a great week.

Lovely comment, Thank you 😊. I do find gardening in shade so much easier than a full sun border because it’s what I’m used to. I agree, coloured leaves & texture are so important, I just need to improve my planting schemes in the sunnier spots in my garden.

Really pretty! What native plants grow in your corner of the world?

Native plants for me in my woodland garden are mainly ferns, primrose, fritillary’s, English yew, bluebells, honeysuckle, forget-me-not & wood anemones and my favourite foxgloves. Thanks for watching 😊

I’ve seen it around the hedgerows but it’s the first time it’s appeared in the garden, it’s a nuisance. Thanks

LOVE THE SHADE BEDS AND COLOUR CONTRAST ARE YOU ABLE TO GROW HOSTAS? A HAVE JUST FOUND A LIST OF 400 SLUG RESISTANT HOSTA SO TRYING SOME FOR THE 1ST TIME.

I nearly used hosta instead of heuchera but I grow hostas elsewhere in the garden so I decided against them in the end. I believe heuchera can be a short lived perennial so eventually I may have to replace them and hostas would be an alternative. Thanks for watching 😊
