It’s been reported today that liverpool don’t have a backup 6 target out there so maybe instead of just getting zubimendi this summer we’ll go and get a centre back or winger we’ve targeted then we’ll sign a top 6 next summer. Our system works with always signing the ‘right player’ not just anyone good enough and maybe the right options aren’t there right now like we waited another year to sign midfielders cus the right ones weren’t available in summer 2022, long term it’s better off but it’s a pain short term. It’s also annoying how the timings never right like we can’t have all the right players at the same time there’s always one clear gap in our best 11 every year

I'm optimistic with Slot but I have to say, the no signings as yet is a normal thing that has happened throughout klopp's tenure. Time and time again we fell short on many occasions because we were too stubborn to invest and keep the squad fresh as you should. Also the way I see it the more time we spend not signing anyone the more time we waste the talent we have, klopp's team should have won more but we didn't and partly to blame on no signings. To think we don't need anyone is crazy, we all saw the holes last season, not saying the team isn't good but it's not the finished product either.
