I have used (imperfect) gentle parenting for almost 18 years. Prioritizing respectful language and actions will not steer you or your children wrong. I hear my gentle parenting choices come back to me in my teenage sons' words and actions. I see in my younger children a level of compassion that makes me so proud. They are respectful humans because they have been treated that way. (And I also agree that there are multiple effective approaches!)
Aw I love that! Thank you for sharing. I often see criticism online about gentle parenting but there's so much to be said about treating children with respect and compassion from the get-go! There is absolutely a way to do that and maintain authority.
