you know this interview was from a long long time ago when no one cheered when he said the lonely island
Or when he mentioned Dan Harmon and Rob Schrob
this was about a year before Dick in a Box
plus his giant hair
also from the description that says 2006...
Or when Andy considers "James Blunt" to be a huge star
Andy Samberg looks like he's a freshman at college
He always looks like that just a laid back chill dude 🕶
He was 28 when this aired and still looks the same
Fernando Govea lol no he doesn’t. He looks older now
Yeah, he is like 40 right?? He still looks 25
Desirée Rodríguez lol I am guessing you haven’t seen a recent picture of him? He started aging suddenly I feel like 2- 3 years ago.
"Maybe you know of the lonely island". How times have changed.
I liked then unliked cause its at 69...in honor of the great Palm Springs I had to leave it.
Haha 69 420 funny number!!! Omg!! Seks number weed number duble funny!! Haha!!
Finn Prince ok 👌
Indeed! I feel like they got famous overnight. =)
Vitaliuz - their song Jizz in My Pants like blew up here in Australia like 7-8 years ago and their music went kinda viral but we obviously don’t have SNL here and didn’t realise it came from a sketch
Conan: “Knock it off”
Andy: *quietly as possible* “okey”
Bruh I was gonna see if anybody else noticed that
please tell me the time! i cant find it anywhere ive watched it so many times :(

thank you!

The quality of the video is so good that it seemed like it was recent, not 14 years ago.
Nine months before this video was filmed, Late Night started filming in HD: czcams.com/video/8C2qIvjvkeo/video.html
i think recordings have always been good, since film. it's the preservation of recordings that's the problem. tapes wear out and compression/upscaling of all digital footage makes it look terrible when you look back
Also, these two fellas have aged pretty well, which helps. Footage of people that have not, makes for more of a stark contrast.
Holy fvck I thought this was recent
Connan says in a remote before that he knows his cameras. He's all about the good equipment
This doesn’t look like it’s been filmed 14 years ago whatsoever
Right? And because the quality is so good it looks like they filmed a Talkshow on a strange vintage set
Yeah, the sofas scream 70's tho.
Because the physical film has no resolution, it can be enhanced digitally to any resolution.
Afnan Studio please tell me you're kidding..
Watch it in 240 for immersion
So this is how Jake Peralta looked when he joined the force. Noice
Dude
Noice
Toit!
All cops are bad
Judy Booty oh fuck off
Crazy that Andy was 28 here. He looks so young
Holy crap he actually looks 20 or something here
I was gonna say teen but still
He looks the same.
Took me a second to realize you were talking about Andy Samberg, not Andy Richter (because I couldn't find him in this vid, and was confused). =)
and he's 41 now and looks about 28
The people in the audience had no idea how big he would be
The Fallon impression still holds up.
Omg yes
This is from 2006. The dude hasn't aged.
Who of the two are you talking about? Both look identical 14 years later! xD
@@mr.specialo7634 except they dont at all
Loved how he kept giving a shout out to his buddies from the lonely island.
No cheers for The Lonely Island? damn this WAS super early on.
Lonely Island was still about 2 years away from becoming very popular.
Andy was like 80% hair back in the day.
Throwback to when Andy Samberg looked like a young Howard Stern mixed with Finn Wolfhard
Haha!
Haha
Haha
Haha! (In shy Ronnie's voice)
The silence when he said maybe you know us “the lonely island” made me look up from my phone 😬
If it weren’t for the close personal contact I’d swear this is a modern bit.
And the fact prince is dead
And the fact that 'getting famous off the internet' has become... a little more common since then
You know you're old when you surrounded by people who can't believe HD Cameras existed in 2006.
i bought my first hdtv on Black Friday 2006 (still the one I use today) 32" at a $700 deal!
@@TRJ2241987 lol you can find that size TV nowadays for like $150
wwould we call that HD?
HD DVD
HD Cameras existed but my tv wasn't good enough to look it
I know this sounds obvious but Andy Samberg been Andy Samberg his whole life.
Dude is genuine. Most authentic guy on the planet.
No way😳😳
I never paid attention to that
Yo...🤯
just like Will Ferrell has been 40 since birth
Word.
I think the best thing about Samberg is that he puts an up-to-date style on a sense of humor that feels like it's from the classic 70s-80s era. It's a great formula.
andy is so cute like hes not shy but he def was a bit nervous BUT he hid it so well by just being hilarious, mans meant to be a comedian
He was so awkward and shy. It's quite inspiring actually
Inspiring you to be more awkward and shy? Those are the personality traits that literally require inspiration to be...unless you were a baby that charmed the doctor the birthed you with your charisma, showed your parents how you prefer your diaper to be put on, and provided networking opportunities to your peers in the hospital nursery.
@@therebex23 no lol. It's because i'm already like this but seeing how he's not like that anymore nowadays makes me hopeful
@@maiconsilva4205 :) Don't worry, the things you think make you awkward are the things that give you a memorable personality.
how do you watch this and think he is being awkward and shy???????????????????????????????
He looks like he had just been dumped by Jenny Gilderhorn
Harsha Ganji I see what you did there
Fung😠
😂😂😂
Fung that demon
FUNGGGGGGGGGG
Jimmy Fallon would slap his knee and put his hands together while laughing at the eulogy.
Seth Belfort hahaha
Bahaaahahahaa
Serious question, what did Fallon do before hosting late night?
@vovahimself Saturday Night Live. Then some movies. Then Late Night.
You know this is old when no one cheers for Lonely Island
Stolen comment
The way Conan says "knock it off" is absolutely adorable.
Samberg has such a strong, masculine jawline for such a soft, comical looking face.
Rightttt. Like the face doesn’t match the jaw
He is so adorable and his laugh is the cutest omg
I know, look at that face!
4:20 Zero applause for The Lonely Island. haha

Name dropping Dan Harmon and nobody bats an eye.
Right??!!
Community wasn't out yet, Dan Harmon wasn't a big name yet
SHOBKILLER. We know, he’s just saying that it was weird to say that without being sarcastic.
Harry Lockhart Touche.
I think Harmon was still on his way to getting fired from the Sarah Silverman Show...?
Damn, Andy name drops Lonely Island and Dan Harmon and no reaction. It's cool looking at these interviews in retrospect and catching things like this knowing these people have no idea how big those names were about to be.
Having had crushes on both Andy Samberg and Conan at the time, I can say that I definitely watched this in 2006. It really does seem like yesterday.
cool cool cool cool cool! This guy just doesn't age.
Indeed! indeed! indeed! Indeed!
This vid was 2006 I think
But still true
Devanshu Dev fr
Which one
He is a natural Jake Peralta. Literally feels like watching Brooklyn 99
We not gonna talk about how he’s a fan of The OC which is where the parody for “Dear Sister” comes from
Ummmm watcha saaaaaaay
He's so baby in this. Period. Baby. I love him. So soft. What. He is amazing. He's so talented and I have the biggest crush on him and the rest of the lonely island😊😭
😭😭 same! 😍😍
Telling everyone at a Prince party that your name is King is genius.
That was a pretty spot on impression of Jimmy

Yes it is so true Lazy Sunday made the CZcams

He's so peralta
Peralta is so Andy
young sandberg nervous for the interview. so cute.
You’re the second person I found on here that remembers what his last name was, sandberg not samberg
Wow, I can't believe how we're indebted to Fallon for Andy and the Lonely Island. That impression of him was spot on.
This was a time when the lonely island wasn't recognized they have blown up since then, Saturday night live really helps people achieve their dreams.
Lonely Island was still about 2 years away from becoming popular.
@@RobertPaceII that's so true it all started when snl allowed them to feature some lonely island stuff on the show, at least I think so
Back when they hired quality players
@@castlerogers7217 Certainly. Lonely Island began getting a lot of buzz on the digital shorts segment of SNL. The first bit they that really took them to the next level was the "I'm on a boat" music video featuring T-Pain. That hit on the show big time when they featured it and it was big virally also. That was huge for Samberg because it was hard for him to stick with the cast he was working with because there was a lot of comedic talent on the cast during those years and Samberg was kind of a 3rd whirl up to that point in the scope of the cast those years. Up to when the Lonely Island Samberg's most noteworthy sketch of note was the "Lazy Sunday" video he produced with Chris Parnell. Lazy Sunday was actually the first Lonely Island production featured on SNL and that was originally done in 2006 as one of the first digital short bits on SNL and actually premiered right around the time Samberg did this interview with Conan. "Lazy Sunday" was a viral hit but for some reason they didn't follow up right away after Lazy Sunday. Samberg's legacy on SNL is through Lonely Island.
6:14 andy has always been so cute
It feels like this crowd doesn't understand Andy Samberg.
Soon, crowd, soon.
Mr. Samberg could tackle me any time.
SAME! His first night on SNL I was in love. His hotness is eternal.
Ryan LeMay RIGHTTTT
Ha gay!!!
Aw hell no yall sus asf
Ha. Gayyyyyyyyyyyyyy
U cut this Andy's hair, you place him right next to nowadays' Andy and I swear you wouldn't even notice that they're 14 years apart.

Aww he was so young here and was such a dork 😂 I’m used to watching his more recent interviews and you can totally see how much he’s grown and matured as a person, plus his haircut
got lost and found this gold. reminds me of teenagers who are so chill and constantly says "duuuuude"
1:08 Does anyone else think his laugh sounds EXACTLY like Chelsea Peretti's laugh in interviews? I feel like because they were friends growing up, they shared a similar laugh and now Andy has grown out of it.
he my dream man
Bro. Conan and Andy don't age.
14 years later and Andy samberg has hardly aged
So great to see how he matured over the years
he was babyyyyy that hair thoo lmao
He was so adorable. ❤️
It’s cool to see flash backs of famous people
andy has aged like fine wine
His face hasnt changed even a little
What a snapshot in time. Andy mentioning the lonely island and Dan Harmon with no crowd reaction
I love Andy Samberg in every shape and form.
First from Switzerland! Andy's hair... It haunts me. I like it. But Connan's hair flip/bangs on his forhead...Iconic.
“Jimmy Fallon at a funeral”
*laughs and slaps the casket*
Damn, I miss the interview because I'm distracted by Conan's legs.
I remember the first time seeing SNL with the "new" Samberg/Hader/Forte/Sudiekis cast my first thought was, "These guys are never gonna make it" (lol)
Conan really helped new snl cast members get a good audience,, brings the best out of people 👌
Andy Samberg's face haven't changed one bit.
I used to blast Lonely Island songs on my iPod. I especially loved the Bonnie and Clyde interpretation ft Rihanna.

Andy and Conan are immortals. They do not age!!!
This man deserves all the success he has had in his life. Talented, sweet and unassuming... then and now.
Andy is not bad either.
Andy is ❤
Made my day with this
I recently just watched b99, it became my all-time favorite sitcom, 6 years ago I made a school project music video using their YOLO song because of its humor. Only now I realized Andy is part of the lonely island O_O wtf mindblown.
That Fallon impression was ahead of it's time
He hasn't aged at all! Dude looks the same just with shorter hair.
I love the 'Bu so much ! Classic! Classy!
Andy looks like a little kid in the thumbnail.
You have to had been the first one.
