When you posted this last year I commented that I wanted to get this bag. It took me a year to take the leap, but I got it! I was looking for other reviews just to be sure about it, but I couldn't find any. I was a little hesitant because it is bigger than I usually carry. I had to break down and get a bigger bag for those days that I need to carry extra things. I went back and forth, but I finally purchased the 'elephant' color. Its so pretty. I really like the bag; its beautiful, classic and easy to carry. Love it!
Hi Lisa, I think I remember. I'm so happy for you! The elephant color is gorgeous. My mom has a crossbody in elephant and I am carrying my elephant Verona satchel right now. I am a huge fan of this bag. I have 4. One in black/tan, burgundy/tan, embossed elephant/tan, and brown Moro safiano. It’s a favorite. That olive color is beautiful too. Love your videos always, Ivana, and I hope you are doing well.

I have this bag in the t- Moro brown and I carried it for a year without even switching bags. I love this bag.
So glad I found this video! I noticed it in your other shopping haul video of your One World, TJMaxx, etc. and I fell in love with it! I'm obsessed with this bag now and I have never liked the olive color in bags before (or this particular hobo for that matter)....go figure!?! Well, you wear it so well and make it look so tempting - thanks so much for the review. This bag is $139 at ILoveDooney vs. $228 at the Q (which doesn't have the olive color).

I need a little help with my bag like this. On the shoulder strap, between the leather belt looking loops, one of the rivets came apart. I don’t know if it will compromise the strap’s integrity. I was able to put them back together, but I am not sure if it was supposed to come apart? Does anyone know, or have had experience with this? TIA for any help!!!!
Lori Adams Hi Lori, I’m sorry your bag is having issues. I have had a rivet/nailhead type detail fall off one of my totes and it didn’t create any structural issues. It was just tacking the end of the decorative strap down. I have considered taking it to a shoe cobbler to fix which I bet he could for a very small cost, but I just haven’t gotten around to it. That’s one option I would suggest. Another option is to send it into Dooney for a repair. If you are within the first year of owning it and have registered the bag it should be repaired for free, but it’s under their discretion. If you are outside of the warranty period they will inform you of the cost and if it can be repaired. I recently sent in a bag for repair and it was done pretty quickly. I hope this helps. myPursesuitOfHappiness thank you so much for your response!! My temporary fix, was just that, temporary. It came completely apart!! I had actually just bought a second one in the embossed gray. Now I am worried, do I have a bad product, or was that one just a fluke?? Did I put too much in it?? I don’t know. I am going to the UPS Store shortly to send it in for repair. I am nervous about it, as I am in California, and DB is in CT. These are my favorite style bag to carry.
Finally catching up the Dooney vids!! The mint bag is a favorite...have that color in the zip zip. This silhouette is new one to me, love to see how it travels :-) looks great with your new ensemble, high five bohemian sista!

Great review, as always! That top is super cute, too! I bet your hubby told you how nice you looked! I have this bag in the color midnight blue. It's a good, dark navy. Picked it up in early Nov. at Dillard's for $110. I'd love to have it in black if I can find one reasonably priced. Sadly I am no where near an outlet and every time I call the one here in Texas I'm always told the ones I want are not shippable. Maybe that's a good thing! Lol

My g'daughter's, I usually refer to her as my Queen, first designer bag was a Dooney and Bourke bought for her on her 16th b'day shopping spree! She got hooked and has since accumulated Coach and several others, gifted of course! Now that she is 23 and married, she gravitates toward less expensive things! Haha! That bag goes so nicely with your boots and so trendy outfit! You look marvelous, Dalink! The mint one is so springy ! Love your vids, please keep them coming. Oh nice outfit and lovely bag I saw one similar at winners but had a flap over the middle !! It was in burgundy but I didn't like how the zip worked on it ? And the narrow opening I really wanted to love it and carried it around the store LOL.... IT WAS A STRUCTURED bag and I think I would have liked it if it was soft like yours (price was amazing at $150) but I walked away from it .......great video TFS

Love your outfit very nice. Great video, very thorough. I have this bag in red, and I love it. What kind of wax do you use on the zipper. and how does that work? I have a new bag and the zipper does not move smooth. please advise. Thank you very much! ☺
Hi, thank you for the compliments. I love the ease of this bag. The red is gorgeous! I usually run wax paper (the kind you cook with). I just fold up a little piece and rub it back and forth across the zipper. Then I open and close the zipper to get it moving nicely. You can repeat the process. As many times as needed, but it usually works after the first couple of times. I have also heard of people using candles, but be careful of colored wax. Good luck! Would you know if this holds more than the Dooney Pebble Crossbody? I have the Crossbody but always need a bit more room. I was thinking of buying the Hobo and taking off the short straps and attaching a longer dooney strap to wear it cross body. This bag is SO cute :)
Hi Mel, that's a good question. I wish I could compare them for you, but I don't have a pebbled leather crossbody anymore. However just looking at them, this hobo seems like it would hold a little more because it is wider at the bottom maybe by a little bit. I would say you might be safe with it if you need a little more space. That's a great idea to attach a longer strap. It seems like it would lay nice against the body carried that way. i also keep the cards in the bags that i buy (after scanning for computer records). i saw this hobo on ilovedooney and will get one in cocoa. hint: when i am traveling, i keep my dust cover in the bag i am carrying so when i need to have the bag scanned by TSA, it will protect the bag and if carrying my larger bag, it will be protected in the overhead bin on the plane. i trust no one with my bags but me. gave you thumb up for posting your video.

I am surprised though at how many videos I've seen with ladies saying they were hesitant or didn't like the bag, but gave it a try because of the amazing deal, as was the case with me.
