Unfortunately there wont be much of a loop, hes gonna be on his own law and order show. So they won't actually interact together except for the premier crossover episode. But maybe in the future they will make more crossovers.
I think what truly linked them together is that they're both originally comedic actors.
SVU is one of the most serious shows in American television, so to have two wise-cracking shit-talking comedians play serious leads side-by-side must have been very bonding for them.

Can't remember the season, it happened in a hospital (there was lead up) but, they had a scene about choosing who to save or something and there was a "moment". Then it's mentioned about him being married or something, think that was where it was put to bed. In different family circumstances "yes" however, "no, because"...
It was definitely explored. It was extremely subtle because it wasn’t written for The CW lol

Wasn't it Elliot's idea? Olivia had been wondering what it would have been like if she had gotten married and had a family, and he put in her head that there's more than one way to do it.
@@kimsechrist4139 in a way yes, Elliot repeatedly encouraged her to many things and reassured her despite what she went through she turned out great and becoming a great mother, some people keep commenting about him holding her back which isnt necessarily true he definitely was protective however he also helped her grow in many ways but she was kinda holding herself back a lot of times which is a good reason he left because he allowed her to grow on her own which she needed.
He doesn't have to know tbh considering he hasn't been there for the second half or part of her life tho 😢😮 all he has to know is she has a son tbh that's it I guess 😅😊
I have been waiting for this. I was so upset when Chris left SVU that I didn't watch it for afew seasons but I did go back and watch the seasons I missed and I started loving the new svu crew. I have watched every svu and I will watch the new show too. I just wish Chris was staying on svu though

Same! Two completely different eras of the show. I think I might actually prefer after season 12, I loved Carisi, Rollins, Barba, Amaro. And it was great to see her promoted. I feel like pre season 13 just didn’t focus on olivia and her personal storyline tying into the cases :) Adopting Noah was a great character evolution also
You mean her being a captain and somehow still a detective at the same time? Yeah the show Tanked without Stabler let's be real but then again you have your opinions and everybody else has theirs
@@Kayla-cr8bgthey planned to focus on Stabler and his family. He was thé main character. But his junior assistant was so brillant that she became his partner. And the duo stayed together during 10 or 12 years! They were great together.
I'd like for everyone to also credit ICE-T, who's been there since the beginning, basically.... he came to the forefront more after Meloni left.. so he really deserves so much credit for his role in keeping the show running. And Kelli Giddish.
Mariska and Chris are those platonic type of soulmates, and that crafted the Benson-Stabler dynamic SO FREAKING WELL.

Peter, Mariska's husband, must be, as a person, so understanding, because it would be hard not to be a little jealous of Hargitay's and Meloni's bond... because their body language and tendency (especially Mariska) kind of shows that in a way that nobody else would understand, there is this kind of deep love for each other. It's a beautiful thing that shows so well on screen, and Ras Alghul, you're right... it is a CLASSIC duo that will never be forgotten.

He had her to be his first child's Godmother. She said in a interview that when his wife got pregnant she was the first person he told. ?. @@juliakondratink4045 I’ll always be heartbroken over the writers ruining his life and then having him just disappear lol. And we deserved a payoff on the rollaro storyline! They were so well-suited...he always knew when something was going on with her and she always put herself on the line to help him. Nick was one of the richest, most complex characters and I realize Danny was ready to move on, but I just wish they hadn’t put his character through all that craziness and then just sort of left it all hanging. He needed a better ending.

@@luna_is_bi_and_non-bi His last episode was the final episode of season 16 I think; both his exes moved to California independent of one another and took his kids with them, and then he wanted to take the sergeant’s exam and be Olivia’s #2, but Tucker from IAB told her that he was damaged goods, had gotten into too much trouble and the department would never let him advance. And everyone just sort of accepted that. Then he got into a shootout in the second half of the episode and was shot in the knee but recovered, but wouldn’t be able to be a cop anymore. He took his retirement and pension and moved to California to be near his kids. And it all just felt abrupt and weird. He loved New York, he wanted to stay close to his mother so she wouldn’t be alone, he loved being a cop, it was all he had ever wanted for himself, he prided himself on having been a good cop, being by-the-book, how the NYPD had been the backbone of his life, and he loved SVU because he had that thing about protecting women because of the way his father treated his mother. The idea that he could just flip on all those concepts that had been well-established about him over four seasons was really disappointing and frustrating. His last scene was a really sweet scene with Olivia where she tells him how having him as her partner (right after Elliott) had allowed her to grow as a cop and a person in ways that being with Elliott had never allowed her to, and they ended with a promise that they would be partners and friends for life, and then we just hear nothing from him ever again. Sorry, I clearly have feelings about this 🤣
