My family and I are visiting montego Bay next month, and I would love to know if you were able to find a good restaurant for jerk chicken? I wanna go where the locals eat, not so much of the tourists.
Unfortunately, not much feedback came from the MoBay locals, they do like the Pork Pit though. One comment suggested that a man sells good jerk chicken in Sam Sharpe Square. I’m yet to try it myself. I hope you have a good time on your trip.
Scotchies is not all that. I was there and I was actually talking to one of the people that work there and the guy totally ignored me and other people. I felt that to be a little rude and I’m not holding it against the taste of the food. The taste of the food was not. Some of these restaurants including pork pit is serving good food, but it’s almost like it’s more cater too the tourist. Not 100% Jamaican quality. But still good
That lack of service you received at Scotchies is unfortunate, and the food there from my experience, needs some work. Pork Pit wasn’t bad for me at all.
I’ve heard that the guy that makes jerk chicken in Sam’s sharp Square. Chicken is really good.

Crazy how there aren't more Jerk spots in Mobay. Really didn't expect it.
Same here! It’s a shame though because Mobay is such a hub for Tourism in Ja.
