Seeing those monster tokens triggered like 1% of a memory of me playing this game or watching someone else play it(like my brother) but I was so young I can’t make out anything no matter how hard I try I can only remember a few of the game models (like monster tokens) and a few seconds of the black knight boss fight cutscene. I can’t see it very clearly but I know for i fact I have seen them before and it’s not dejavu because I would have been about 4-5 when I think this took place and it would make sense since that’s the exact kinda game me and my brother would play. Thank you for completely melting my brain

I love this game with a passion. It was one of the first video games I ever played, and I still play it every year around Halloween time. I am always impressed by the amount of detail put into it. You can see minor levels in the backgrounds of other parts of the game (e.g. you can see parts of the hedge maze from the docks around 4:23). This kind of thing is common in games these days, but back then, it was much less common.

This was my first ever video game back in kindergarten! My nostalgia for this game is insane. My dad and I were stuck on the trampoline level for like 2 - 3 weeks cuz it was genuinely difficult and we were both new to video games

The guy that says get off my lawn is a reference to the actor Don Knotts who has appeared on Scooby-Doo multiple times and at this point has gained his own special character within Scooby-Doo for some reason. No one really remembers who this is because his cultural relevance died many many years ago and he sadly passed away in 2006. his character has even shown up in recent Scooby-Doo adaptations which I don't really know why they keep this character around when the person it's based off of is long gone and was really only famous for a cop show that no one watches anymore. When this guy was a young man he already looked like he was pretty much a real life Scooby-Doo character and now there's a lot of characters in the Scooby-Doo franchise that happened to take design elements from this guy so people who knows Scooby-Doo somehow even without even knowing it know who Don Knotts is weirdly enough so once you notice it it's weird because it's basically just some real guy surrounding himself with all these cartoon characters basically so what I'm saying is once you know who this is he sticks out like a sore thumb because it's basically just some real dude. There's even a cop in Velma that kind of vaguely looks like Don Knotts.
