Entouré d'extraterrestres, le caporal-chef Peter Kerns (Jim Parrack de True Blood) parvient à faire un très bon tir et à faire exploser un combattant extraterrestre, et tous ses amis soldats le félicitent. Cependant, quelques instants plus tard, un énorme vaisseau apparaît dans le ciel et tue Kerns. Une légion d'extraterrestres commence à venir dans leur direction, puis soudain, le sol se met à bouger, et un énorme vaisseau spatial s'élève du sol. L'armée fait des pieds et des mains pour tenter de détruire le vaisseau, mais celui-ci est protégé par des drones.

What’s the Battle: Los Angeles movie about?
For years, there have been documented cases of UFO sightings around the world - Buenos Aires, Seoul, France, Germany, China. But in 2011, what were once just sightings will become a terrifying reality when Earth is attacked by unknown forces. As people everywhere watch the world’s great cities fall, Los Angeles becomes the last stand for mankind in a battle no one expected. It’s up to a Marine staff sergeant (Aaron Eckhart from The Dark Knight and Sully) and his new platoon to draw a line in the sand as they take on an enemy unlike any they’ve ever encountered before.

This was an underrated movie. People were expecting too much from it, just like The Predator. Both are simply good action movies, and didn't need an inflated plot or crazy character development.

The character development lacked in BLA but was overdone in Predator. If they had James Cam do both we woulda had some seriously good movies.

What I liked about this movie and my military buddies love it. Due to the fact that this movie. Tries to represent soldiers how they would be in real life. As you notice. The soldiers in this movie. Don’t just spray and pray. But use semi to firing short bursts. In the service we are trained to do that as well.
Two these aliens are just awesome. Unlike some movies. You just shot them. Their dead. No they had to figure a weakness. And ways to eliminate their targets.

As a fan of alien invasion movies, Battle: Los Angeles is criminally underrated.

I was worried when people mentioned it was shot with the overused "shaky camera" style but the film crew used it correctly. They didn't overdo it or make a trillion jump-cuts to convey 5 seconds of the story line like in The Bourne Ultimatum. Ultimatum left me nauseated because they went overboard with the damn camera. This movie only does it if it's necessary to put the viewer next to the characters. So I give it a B+ instead of a C although I still prefer the Aliens franchise.
In the real world, the Marines would not risk sending the only unit with success against the Aliens back into combat and risk losing their experience. Nance would probably be given a battle field promotion to LT or even Captain to train other units. All the other Marines would probably be promoted and used to train others.
I can see them being split into other squads deploying for the first time but I doubt they would be taken out of the field and doing any training during an alien invasion.

This is literally my favorite movie my wife got so sick of it I watched this movie virtually everyday so intense and realistic in its own way

I think this is the first alien invasion movie I've ever seen where the aliens also used guns. In pretty much every other alien invasionmovie it's rayguns / lasers and stuff like that.

Sept. 3, 2021----Always thought this was one hello of a classic sci-fi movie. It's a shame a sequel was never made. Last I heard a few years ago was they were going to do one in New York City, but nothing came of it.
It’s particularly annoying when you read the full title, World Invasion: Battle Los Angeles. Opening the way to a film set anywhere in the world.
World Invasion: Battle Beijing, World Invasion: Battle London, World Invasion: Battle Rio De Janiero etc.

@@EvgeneXI oh. I personally liked that movie quite a lot. The actions scenes kinda made sense and the cgi was good too. In my opinion, it was better than many expensive alien movies. Don't know why it never got much attention.

Don't worry, in the end the aliens fled Los Angeles after seeing all the homeless encampments and heroin needles all over the area. So they were the heroes, not these soldiers.
Yeah...I've visited L.A. dozens of time, it's like 95% homeless camps, and 5% beach.

Why didn't Kerns jump off and pull his 38th reserve chute like a normal person?
If that happened now the president would wait until the aliens had taken over Los Angeles completely and then he would order an evacuation of the city.
If it had been TFG he would have been saying how he'd exchanged love letters with the alien overlord and how he was a great guy because he didn't like democracy either. MTG would have been saying the aliens must be Jewish because they have space lasers and Gaetz would have been asking if they had any pre-adolescent girls he could get to spend some time with.

These silly movies where Aliens with the technology to travel to other worlds have, pretty much, the same military capabilities as civilizations that are centuries away from possibly traveling to distant worlds.
Traveling light years away doesn't need technology much more sophisticated than what we have now. Ofcourse, if wait calculations are to be considered, its better to tech up before traveling. But the scenario is not entirely implausible. Another factor is that an advanced alien species traveling across hundreds of light years might forget its original mission and lose quite a bit of its technology over centuries of travel with a small fleet. You should expand your horizons a bit.
@@death_paradethey have advanced tech demonstrated in this video. If you gave the tech shown here to a bunch of Ukrainian engineers they’d turn it into a way to instantly wipe out Russia by the end of the month…

@@timafiggy My point is the Air Force does not specialize in small unit infantry tactics regardless of their job designation and their rank, dingus. Honorable exceptions for USAF special forces like PJs and JTACs, but she ain't one of them.

@@thomasgalyen6757 Did you even watch the movie? The aliens look amazing and you see them perfectly fine plenty of times. Only reason why they action scenes are shot like this is because they want to show how chaotic it is. and how realistic they want to make it. This isn't your typical military movie where the marines are just shooting so perfectly and killing them all, rather it's showing it REALLY would be and they're shooting and missing and doing the best they can. and half the time they are getting fucked up because that's how it actually would be. Them missing, a lot, getting fucked up, a lot, but pulling through at the end because they adapt and overcome. If you watched the movie, you would see how and see the aliens perfectly and how they adapted to the aliens and started to pull through.
Fighting an alien army is like roman legions fighting nazi army. No chance.

I love how everyone keeps saying great movie.. I never saw it BUT.. every time I watch it I never see the Human Soldiers take any casualties.. like at all. Your telling me if a Militarized Alien Army landed and sent in full conventional forces with high tech gear a single squad of Army Infantry are gonna hold them off without having people get pulverized.. yeah yeah sure.
Watch the battle on the bridge. The marines lose half their number, and the aliens keep pushing them back.
Basically the entire movie has the marines retreating. Try actually watching something before complaining about it.
