    I pray that this plant does not close in the wake of GE's present problems. These folks are proud good Americans who ensure quality in the products they manufacture. Louisville certainly needs the employment that GE offers.

    Dear vycaso GE pays no corporate taxes in the US. If the government were to give them further tax breaks it would be paying them to keep jobs here. What manufacturers are finding out is having products built in American overall is as cheap if not cheaper then shipping those jobs overseas.

    One strong point in general of American manufacturing, is that there is an emphasis on utilizing the latest technologies in manufacturing, process technology, machine tools, robots, etc. While this is an expensive initial investment, it increases productivity and total manufacturing output by orders of magnitude.

  • @vycaso
    @vycaso Před 12 lety +2

    Maybe the government needs to be more generous and give these business overseas a huge tax break just to relocate to America and to help these business get started in the states but let their taxes increase little by little until it reaches the normal rate.

    God bless you Jerry for bringing those jobs back because there are alot of Americans needing employment. Its not a bad Ideal to cut wages in half starting off. So that many people can be employed and allows GE to stay in business. I Hope the economy gets better and business does good so those wages can be increase. Good job.

    Thank you President Trump you keep your promises, you said you would bring the companies back and create more jobs. Well Mr. President the companies are coming back people are going back to work, the best thing is you will see this product say made in the USA, This will make the people proud show the world that we the people in the USA made these products. You need not to go to China and buy things now we can make them here, if you remember look at the B-52s the people of the United States made this in such a short time, all we need is a chance to prove that we did it once and will do it again. I thank all the companies that are coming back to the United States. And I thank the president Donald Trump for working so hard to make this all happen, I hope we all vote for Trump in 2020 to be our president again.

    There is one reason and one reason only why the investor and upper management class outsourced US jobs to China and other nations which offered cheap labor. That reason is union busting and wage depression. Those in control of money have very carefully orchestrated a forced concession of decent wages and other middle class pay. This was done so that the investor and shareholder class could steal ever increasing amounts of the US people's hard won middle class pay for the benefit of the investor and shareholder class. Now that the American worker has been brought to their knees, the investor and shareholder class is willing to hire back US workers for less than half of what they were making before with no job security or benefits. That is hardly a win for US workers, but is a huge win for those who produce nothing of value while they steal ever greater sums from those who do produce. The same investor and shareholder class who got away with the outsourcing of the US middle class are also the same investor and shareholder class who willfully tanked the US and then the world economy in 2008, while maintaining their horrendous salaries and bonuses. It is time to change the rules of the game so this can never happen again.
    Can anyone say Glass Stegal?
    Can anyone say reverse Citizen's United?
    Can anyone say election reform?
    Does anyone know that the real push behind unconstitutional gun confiscation comes from the same investor and shareholder class who destroyed the American middle class? It's not hard to see who's safety gun control really addresses. Perhaps those dishonest investors and shareholders deserve to live in fear, and we should force them to.

Increase salary program should also be available increasing 5% yearly and stop after 5 yrs but increase evry 2yrs thereafter. Else retire n promote next in line.
