Because they rely on hiring cast members from other countries and it's unlikely someone of the fairy godmother's age is willing to move to a foreign country.
***** ya know? I've been thinking that same thing. But at the same time, makeup is ridiculously magical these days and they could easily hire a younger lady and just make her look like the crone she needs to be. (whoe!!! I take that back! Crone doesn't mean what I thought it did! I mean beautiful old lady that is kind and wise. I always thought that was what crone meant. Boy was I wrong. Anyways you get what I'm saying. lol)

This was fun to watch. Gaston at the end is hilarious and perfectly done. Fairy Godmother...nightmares! I went to Disneyland today and meet 25! characters on my 1st annual Character Marathon. I'm so exhausted. I will probably upload the video in a few weeks. But it would've been cool to have it posted the same time you guys did character week.

the face characters at this park are amazing so funny and interactive, they fully embody the characters they are playing. with some characters in other parks especially around adults they can feel a little uncomfortable at times but these guys are awesome

DeenaTheCat Just because it's in Asia doesn't mean they change the characters. Since visitors are aware of the movie, they hire face characters like how they normally would, the only difference is them being moved to an international park. :) And I agree the godmother was creepy looking. In WDW she is an actual face character=less scary haha
@@janessaarield5157 that is correct! Disney would hold auditions for either US Cast Members or even ordinary people who fit the bill to work in the Asian parks.

Caleb Muth They hold international auditions for the face characters. So they have to be willing to move abroad to work as a Disney character whether it be in Japan or China etc.
because in america they only hire Asian people for asian characters. mulan movie, asian or west asian people for aladin etc, if the character is white they need white people to play them silly x and im sure there are not a lot of white people to choose from who want to be disney cast members in tokyo x x x hope that answers your question x

JERATONI where a park has debuted this year is also slightly weird.
all the other prince and princess pairs are together, but then for some reason belle is hanging out with gaston. . . something is not right here
so do they speak Japanese also?
JOSEPH it's not a requirement to speak Japanese to work there. Many of the face characters were transferred if they were already working at one of the other parks or Disney hold auditions for Asia parks (international in general) so you have to be willing to move there. It's not a requirement to speak it but I'm sure if they didn't know Japanese at first, they would've picked up some words. :)

Do they have Princess Tiana there?
No.
No, sadly. In fact, Japan only recognize 7 (previously 6) Princesses, which is the first 6 (Snow White to Jasmine) and Rapunzel. I know this due to most of the Disney Princess merch in Japan made by Bandai and Takara Tomy only does merch for the aforementioned 7. So no Pocahontas, no Mulan, no Tiana, no Merida and no Moana too.

I got laughed at back when I was living in Camden at the library when I was singing and some kids was laughing and mocking me and one person posted the video on Facebook and wrote 15 mean comments instead of nice comments about me and I was embarrassed and upset about it no one likes my talent I like to sing a lot while listening to music and singing along and dancing too any positive advice for me about my situation please I need a new friend someone who’ll accept me for who I am and not judge me just because I’m different from other people please how can I find my happily ever after any advice for me am I considered a princess like princess Aurora my hair is naturally curly

I wonder how do you even get a job in Disney World Tokyo, like are they living in Japan and the opportunity appears or they lived in the US and were transferred to Tokyo?
You can look up the Disney auditions to be a character and it tells you the different locations they're looking to send people. So there's ones for the US, but there's also a lot for the international ones as well
Also, they will ask current cast members from US parks to move there sometimes. I have friend who "hung out" with Elsa in Anaheim and now she is "hanging out" with Aurora in Shanghai.
Rman you can either transfer if you are current cast member or character. or they hold auditions for face characters for those parks so you have to be willing to move there. It's not a requirement to speak Japanese. :)
