Roblox - Area 51 (DEMO)

  • This is another area 51 fanmade game that I found around the website. Even though it's still a demo, I really enjoyed playing with the very few stuff it offers to do, as for now, your only objective is to find weapons and kill these disgusting monsters on the surface...
    Currently, all weapons can be found around the surface, altough if you just wanna farm kills, then you should go for the double barrel shotgun, that thing is monstrous...
    While there are some weapons that you must go for, there are others that I recommend to avoid getting, at least for now, such as the ray gun, which is really hard to get if there are monsters nearby. Plus, it's not even that worthy.
    Another weapon not worthy to collect right now is the crossbow. It doesn't work well, as it seems like it does not deal any damage!!!
    I also liked the old roblox style of the game. From the old GUIs to the animations and monster designs. I also liked the style and how interactive the surface map is, I can't even imagine how the underground base would be...
    Since it is a demo, the game is unfinished, and bugs may be present, such as probably the state of the crossbow, or that bug of equipping a weapon as soon as you collect it from a giver, etc.
    Still an interesing fanmade! Even though it hasn't been updated since last year...

    ok there is a quite bad news for this game, it's pretty much stopped being developed on due to lack of demand so there's not much motivation for the game to be continued, unless it suddenly gets a peak overnight
    also if you want to see some of the underground, i do have a video of it on my channel, and yes, most of the stuff in there is either destroyable or interactive, duke nukem 3d-inspired
    (also in the same video, there is a rocket launcher test in the end, it's basically an upgraded crossbow, and a lot of weapons contain their upgraded versions as well, just unused for now since they are similar to pap of saktk)
    also about the crossbow, if i remember correctly, it should down a monster in just 2-3 hits and i remember it is set to be more powerful than m16a2 grenade launcher, probably the explosion damage code breaks again
    and yes, the ray gun is a bait, referencing how most saktk players would just head for the ray gun, also the ray gun is full automatic now instead of a spamming weapon, probably for similar to the original game it came from
    (fun fact : the mp5k and the ray gun are originally switched places, just like saktk, but the place wasn't as closed until i put the ray gun there, also, the double barrel is actually nerfed from how it was before)
    also important note : always aim for the head
    last but not least, some of the soundtrack in this game is actually original music i made instead of grabbing from either studio or on the deep part of the internet, most of them are uploaded on my channel as well

      Oh hey, I actually remember watching some gameplay of yours after I played the game, but since I recorded this WAAAY to long ago I ended up forgetting about it...
      Also, I remember being a while only shooting the crossbow to see if it actually works, but It just didn't kill anything. So, there might be a problem with it.
      Also also, I forgot you could shot grenades from the M16A2/M203 like in SAKTK, don't know why I didn't use it...
      Also also also, different background music because there are some games that use some sort of copyrighted songs, and I generally don't like getting youtube claims for songs that I don't even know about, even though these would do no harm to me (I have no interests on monetization). Didn't know some of the songs were done by you.
      Also⁴, platypus II music, depsite not being the best of the best, I found it quite fitting for the gameplay, since at world 5 from playpus II everything gets.... well, you know. And the monster gibs and sounds reminded to it for some reason...

      @@OIimpia alright after a while, i know why crossbow deals way less damage than usual, along with other weapons
      if you hit the back of bigger monster, they won't get damaged, as the hitbox is still in the front, similar to smaller size monsters like the zombie ones, probably the crossbow hit the back and somewhat didn't detect the monster or did detect but dealt way less than intended damage
      also you can switch mode by pressing e on the m16a2, but i think the game should mention it in the first time you picked it up, as of now, it is only mentioned in the interactive computer that shows weapons data
      also for the music, all of them have no copyright which is why i can put them into the game, typically music from games or indie music from late 90s but, if the playing song has an (apm) in it then it has copyright on them so it's best to keep the song muted if you are recording as they were taken from studio library itself, which are all copyrighted
      i have done the same for my other games as well but they all have the option to skip apm songs unlike here
      and yes, platypus soundtrack does fit for the game due to both games main purpose is blowing the enemies into pieces
      also not sure if you noticed it but fire extinguisher, those gas pumps, gas cans and the helicopter can all be destroyed and will explode, dealing damage nearby, like in the video i made, some are more tanky though
      also despite it is an old recording, it seems like it is the newest iteration of the game due to those blue sparkling message logs scattered around the map, basically it contains voice recording of people who work there, like system shock, all of the voices are ai-generated due to the whole thing was only a demo and overall, a concept

      forgot to mention, pressing e will cause you to lean a bit, it was still a testing feature similar to system shock and you lean using q,e
