What does ASMR stand for?

What IS ASMR?
A feeling of well-being combined with a tingling sensation in the scalp and down the back of the neck, as experienced by some people in response to a specific gentle stimulus.
Examples of different ways to experience ASMR~
🧠Physical ASMR
Feeling calm, sleepy, tingly or satisfied while having your hair brushed/styled/touched, getting your forehead rubbed or your face touched softly while getting makeup applied. Someone softly tracing upon your back.
🗣Auditory ASMR
Feeling calm, sleepy, tingly or satisfied while listening to a particular sound that triggers you. There are several different sounds that may trigger this feeling; such as a whispered voice, typing on a keyboard, water swishing sounds, listening to someone write, turn pages in a book, tap on objects, etc.
👁Visual ASMR
Feeling calm, sleepy, tingly or satisfied while observing someone create art, slice foods, carve soap, wood, candles, trace over shapes/letters with their finger or a pointer etc.

This video is magical for 3 reasons: the soft spoken mixed with whispering, regular mouth sounds but not lip smacking, and talking to herself which is almost inaudible.
I do hate those lip smacking and tongue clicking most asmrtist do, but i like soft talking (not whispering cause i hate that too lol)

This video has been my go to for my most sleepless nights for like 2 years. I would love to see a direct sequel if you are looking for ideas
I like the choice in rulers, because the premise of the video is taking face measurements and then scaling them up later, and that 3 sided ruler is made for exactly that. It's for measuring lines on blueprints or landscaping plans and scaling them to real world size, which is why it has multiple sides, for multiple scales

Not quite an architect. I'm a heavy equipment operator, but I spent some time doing surveying, which is where I learned to read plans and lay them out to full size with stakes, and thus learned how to use that ruler. I do have a splash of ADD or something though lol I can't help but notice flaws in movies and stuff and it bothers me a great deal, so inversely, I really enjoy seeing someone on CZcams get something right that most people would not have.

@@samson9428 Not quite the correct answer. It is a scale, not a ruler. It is used while doing the drawings. You would never take a measurement off of a blueprint due to distortion or the size in which the blueprint was printed in, which is why you read the measurements which are on them. The scale allows you make drawings bigger/smaller than the actual object in correct proportions. Mechanical drafting. I hope this helps.

I think this is one of your most relaxing videos. I like the way you switch from the ruler to the measuring tape to make the measurements. And your whispering throughout the video is a source of soothing relaxation. An extra bonus is the unusually relaxed sound of the pen on paper as you write. I really enjoy hearing that. It brings a quietness to the overall atmosphere in the video. I really like what you did here Prim.
Yep the writing is nice. I would always drift away when my teacher helped me with something because of the sound the oen makes on the paper

My very first trigger experienced was when someone was measuring the circumference of my head so this video hits close to home 😍
Mine is quite similar. My first experience with tingles was getting my hair washed at a salon so salon asmr hits close to home but measuring asmr is definitely 2nd place for me

I’ve looked at a lot of different creators and I feel like out of all I’ve seen, your videos are the best as far as ASMR goes. I don’t know how to put it but it’s your focus and intent, like you’re on a mission and you’re serious and totally into it. Definitely could teach these other asmr folks a thing or two!

I haven't listened to,whole video yet but from what i have heard there was a noticeable absence of tapping. Bravo! I do not like tapping in ASMR videos. It instantly ruins it for me. It's so hard to find an ASMR video without tapping in it.

THESE are the kind of visual triggers I'd like to see more of. I'm so sick of people tapping on EVERYTHING. It's the gentle touching and hand movements that are super relaxing to me (my earliest ASMR experiences all involved visual triggers).
