NEVER knew where the air filter was on a Stihl backpack blower. Point proves, we need more guys putting out how to videos. Time-lapse mowing & music is cool don't get me wrong but, actual how to's are far & few in between. Hoping all is well Bud, Dirty Jersey out!! #broinlawns!!
Thanks for the input man! Idk I just like doing maintenance! I have sat in our shop for the past few years debating it and I’m glad I did. Just random maintenance videos man!
Yeah I really wish stihl made a tooless way of accessing the air filter, as well as make it a two-stage air filter like redmax and echo. 😒
I agree. Yes equipment is improving all around in our field. But seriously none of the maintenance and access points are. Some mowers yes, but nothing really impressive.
What size is the screw above valve cover?
Just bought the 800x for my 1/4 acres lawn. Seems like an overkill but I just hate leaves. The dealer was trying to sell me the echo 8010 instead for $100 cheaper in stihl Loyalty.
What do you think of this stihl 800x? Do you like it. Also do you change it from winter to summer mode when temperatures change at 50 degrees ferenheit??
I thought this one would be overkill. But it makes life much easier lol
Shot in the dark I'll get a response in time. But the spark plug replacement, hand tight is ok? And do I need to grease it or anything before use?
Hand tight is perfect
Nope not at all. Just hand tighten the plug that’s all. Don’t over tighten. It could break inside then that sucks
@roachbrotherslawncare2936 hell yeah man thank you. I asked because I don't have a deep socket to fit that, so I used channel locks to bust it loose, and basically hand tightened it back down. Would you recommend at least using a deep socket to quarter turn it after its hand tight?
@@Travster93 that won’t hurt. I suggest At least a deep socket so you can feel it get snug on the socket.
@roachbrotherslawncare2936 That's what I figured. Right on man, thanks for the reply and video. Funny enough I had bought all three pieces you replaced and was trying to find a vid on the fuel filter and found this haha.
